How do I do the haunted house skip in CH6? Watching runs it would seem that the runners pause the game, but I don't know/understand what else to do when trying to skip the house.

I'm new into speedrunning this game and I was wondering if it was allowed to use editing software to get a recording of my mobile phone screen using Msplit for Android merged into a recorded run from my PS4 console. I know it could be considered kinda sketchy, so I wanted to ask if it was legal doing it. Thanks!
