just wanted to let everyone know that we have added chapter 4 categories to the leaderboard. once the game fully releases, we plan to change the leaderboard up to include Full Game % and then we will have some extra categories as well. the chapters by themselves will become individual level leaderboards in order to tidy up the page. hope this is ok with everyone and cant wait to see your runs of chapter 4 and soon to be chapter 5.

just curious about the rules for any% before i try running this game. do we pause time during loading screens? im only asking because i noticed when watching your run that loading screens were quick but when playing the game my loading screens are sometimes double the time yours are. just curious before i start running this :) thanks!

For anyone that might seem confused by the new look here is a little thing to help you understand what each subcategory means.
Chapter 1 Category: Chapter 1 Version Subcategory: this means The original chapter 1, this is the version you had from gamejolt/steam before chapter 2 came out.
Chapter 1 Category: Chapter 2 Version Subcategory: this means the chapter 1 once chapter 2 was released as chapter 1 changed slightly so this is where those runs go.
Chapter 1 Category: Chapter 3 Version Subcategory: this means the chapter 1 once chapter 3 was released as chapter 1 had many things added which makes the times in previous runs almost impossible to beat so a new version category was created. this is where those runs go.
THIS IS THE SAME WITH ALL CHAPTERS. Chapter 2 has its release and the update when chapter 3 released.
Chapter 3 has its release
the Stickman% under misc category is a little different as moderators are having issues with categorizing / organizing them so those are unfortunately stuck how they are. chapter 1 version means CHAPTER 1 (ANY VERSION) as we havent been able to categorize it properly yet. CHAPTER 2 Version is chapter 2 any version. and chapter 3 version is chapter 3 stickman %.
hope this helps with any confusion. once the full game releases all chapters will be turning into individual leaderboards so the full game can have a any% and stickman % will most likely be put under individual levels as well.

i think we can work on that and make it a misc category. do you know how many bacon soup is in ch2 so we can make sure to put that in the rules?
Chapter 3 is not going to count load times. we are working on making it so ch1 and ch2 dont count load times because that requires us rewatching all of the runs and retiming time to get rid of the load times. if you decide to run ch 1 or ch 2 dont include load times and then we shall see what we can do. once the game fully releases load times wont be included either.
probably right as it does take longer, only thing would be trying to fix all the run times for all the runs submitted which could take a while unless we get that auto splitter. for chapter 3 we shall not count load times just to make things easier

1-2 might be a misc category but not sure because then we would need one for EVERY time a new chapter comes out. but yes FULL Game run is going to be a thing once the game is fully released

a possible category to be added soon is Chapter 1 Glitchless, but this will ONLY happen if we can confirm that it is possible to glitch yourself into the final room at the beginning of the game. if you dont know what im talking about, check the glitch sticky'd post and youll see what im talking about. Chapter 2's rules for running when the game comes out will be the same as chapter 1's until a moderator can take a look at the game and see where the time should end and start and what rules will be made.
Please feel free to post your category run ideas here so that a moderator can take a look at it and determine whether it should become a run category. this way we can see what the runners have ideas for as well as the mods. With Chapter 2 coming out really soon i wanted to make this thread so that when chapter 2 comes out if there are any hidden things that we can either make as a misc category or regular category, then we can do that. but please feel free to share your ideas.

Bendy And The Ink Machine Speedrunning Discord has been made. All the rooms have been made for it, they just need to be filled out, which i will do when i return home from work in 8 hours. It has at least the rules setup. feel free to join it and it will be fully finished tonight when i get home.
otherwise if you dont want to make it i dont mind making it as well. ive made one for another game i moderate on here and dont mind making others. just let us all know if you end up making one or not so we know ^-^
