I've found in the Uncharted games, in particular in Uncharted 3 that there's usually one or two enemies in some sections that will cause the game to softlock if they're killed too fast. It may be worth you or someone to test who of them enemies killed is causing the softlock as I don't think it's all of them. It could very well be the last enemy in the pack that spawns. It's possible that when the last enemy spawns in that pack the game hasn't been given enough time to recognise that not only are they the last but that they've spawned.
Maybe try with the last enemy in that pack, let him spawn or be alive just a little longer than the rest and see if that fixes the issue, if not try and experiment with the rest.
Another skip to use for the area in French Chateau where Beam Skip can be used. Alternative method can save 10 seconds over first attempt Beam Skip and probably about 30+ seconds over the normal route.
There has been an influx recently of submitted runs that aren't following the rules set out for each category.
The rules are there and in place for a reason, please make sure that you follow them before attempting a run and submitting said runs. If you are unsure of the rules, contact a mod through sr.com or discord.
Thanks
There has been an influx of people submitting runs that do not follow the timing rules set out for this series of games.
Please before submitting make sure that you read the timing rules for the game you are planning to run as it makes it more difficult re-timing the run and tedious.
Thanks

EDIT: It appears rules still aren't being followed, so therefore without sounding like a complete *** future runs may or may not be declined depending on how much needs to be re-timed, and if it does need re-timing you will be asked to do it to resubmit. It's not a big ask for people to follow the rules, even if a timer like livesplit is not used throughout a run. Follow the rules folks. Thanks!
As what wild said, Brutal is not being added to the main boards for the foreseeable future especially with cheats and no cheats categories.
For simplicity sake they'd have to be separate because of IGT for 4 and LL otherwise it'll just get messy
In light of this board being added for the more not so serious or non main game categories, please post your ideas as a new thread using the below template with a clear description of the idea/rules for discussion with the title being the name of your proposed category and we will consider whether that category will be approved and added. As discussions on discord can be broken up with no clear indicators this gives the opportunity for people to express their feelings towards the category against each category spoken about without that information being lost in translation on discord -
Game in series: Category Name: Rules and category description:
Category requests that make no sense or are not entirely feasible for one reason or another will not be added.
Cheers!
No problem, glad we've cleared it up! Thanks for correcting me :)
I dont think its fair to make the assumption that we don't care, it's not that we don't. I already stated a reason for it in the other post you made. I already said you can post your IL vods/recordings in its own post and Matt very kindly renamed it so that you and anyone cost post them in there rather than spam individual posts with separate videos. As mentioned IL's won't be added but feel free to post them here.
Hi there. IL's will not be added. This has come up in conversation before but it just gets messy so these will not be added.
I did send a message within the discord linking to this post as well but not sure if it garnered much interest at the time, thanks for the link none less!
Hi all. I stumbled upon this glitch earlier today during my casual play through of the game that causes you to not take any damage and be able to walk through enemies without so much as a scratch.
This was caught on PC Steam version on whichever is the current patch. Unsure if this has been found by anyone yet in their travels and documented but might be useful for glitched runs in some areas. I just haven't been able to replicate yet as I'm not as far as other people may be but thought I'd post here anyway in case anyone wanted to check it out.
May be worth someone checking if the console versions of the game exhibit this glitch as well?
edit: Just to add, as per video description it lasts for one or two screens, so may be area dependant? unsure
an alternative to the APC fight skip in chapter 5, bit more consistent than the one directly after the cutscene
Hi all
After discussing with Matt, as of 16/01/19 any run attempt performing chapter 4 skip, if the skip fails you are no longer allowed to reload a save to try and perform the skip again.
If it fails you will either have to continue the run using an alternative route or restart the run.
This decision was made because with the use of IGT as the timing method, you could reload the save infinitely without a penalty to time which doesn't really make sense in a speed run.
All current runs on the board from before this date that have made use of the save files for this skip will remain, any further submitted runs making use of this for any part of the run will now be rejected regardless if its chapter 4 skip or otherwise.
To be honest I wouldn't worry about the launches yet, I would focus primarily on getting the basic routes and strats done before trying them. They are inconsistent at best and will only frustrate you and perhaps make you quit trying to run the game. I would try the older route first and see how you get on with that and when you feel comfortable then move into trying the launches. Not to shit on anyone's parade here but generally speaking I think that would be the best approach especially if you've only just started doing it. Good luck!
