LuxStein here doing his homework!
hmmm ya know what, I think it would depend on the text. if there are different text for each death then I'd count them seperate.
I'm gonna write a poem, or a story to tell while playing through the route we make.
Wanted to just throw this out there. This would be a fun little run that highlights all the different ways you can die in this game. This would technically be Shadowgate's version of 100%, I honestly just think it would be a cool showcase run for marathons. Let me know what you think.
Hey man! Sorry I just saw this. This is really late for a reply so my apologies. Yes this leaderboard does focus on the NES version of shadowgate. I'll probably see if there is a leaderboard for 8 Bit Anthology, if not I'll make one. Hope this answers your question!
This leaderboard needs a complete revamp with the categories. I'm not nearly as good as I'd like to be yet. But I know that I do plan on running this game.
I'm probably going to make some people mad doing this. So the timing ends when the last action happens, with the use command in glitched, and using the staff on the behemoth in glitchless. If you are trying to get a frame count, or a really fast time and want to eek out the frames, then use the following method. After you execute either command (use on behemoth/use on EI) the bottom menu (containing USE/MOVE/OPEN/etc.) will disappear and start rolling text, timing SPECIFICALLY ends once that bottom menu disappears. During a run it'll be impossible to get a completely accurate time, but I expect this ruling to be used only in the instances of the top 5 times, or in highly optimized categories.
As someone who has been in the speedrunning community for a very long time, I know how much drama the category "Glitchless" can bring. So I'd rather have something along the lines of No Major Glitches. Allowing some small things like triple jumps, but disallowing duping and skipping cutscenes, tutorial. Anyway hope that answered your question.
- official version
- I deleted them cause you can watch the WR run and copy that stuff.
- it is now.
Single Segment means that you don't restart the console, turn it off, or lead a save. RTA means that you can do that but everything is timed. Also no idea for the multiple console thing.
Here's a quick pastebin for getting OoT JP for Wii VC. You just need to get the WAD for MM, then it works fine. http://pastebin.com/dY1a6rSQ
Is it possible? Can it be done? Would it be interesting? I'd love to see if it's even possible.
The rules are now posted. And I'll be waiting for any and all runners to submit their times! ^^
Hello! I am a runner of the RPG called OFF. The leaderboard that was made has not been moderated in quiet a while, and the person who made the leaderboards has not been online since he made his account. I think it is inactive especially since I have submitted a run to the board and it has not been touched. I hope you guys can help me.
