I've seen people skip the bonus stage, I was wondering how to do that, I've tried pressing different buttons and combo buttons but I can't get it to skip.

Hello I'm interested in speedrunning both Pikmin 1 and 2, and would like to know which console would be better? I plan to use a gamecube controller but I was curious if one console had an advantage over the other? I also plan to stream in the future if that makes a difference, thanks in advance!
