Hi Might be a dumb question, but when it says that strict timing is required for runs, does this mean that Perfects Only needs to be on? Because I cant figure out how else to turn on strict timing only. I know it gives me the option when I enter XT-X, but I dont know how to set it as standard for the entire game. Thanks

I dont really have anywhere else to post this but this shows off all Ankh locations that I know of from watching videos. I collect all but 1 in Frozern Cavern. I dont know if there is a discord server for this game, which is where Id share this otherwise, but I wanted to show off the potential of Fargus tech that isnt really usable that much in any% since its so dangerous.

Does anyone have a list or know of a video/guide that tells of all the locations of Life Ankhs in the game? I'm doing TAS work and need as many lives as possible for the death abuses for speed, just want to make sure I'm not going to miss any fast/secret lives. Thanks

its hard to say whether a hole in one is faster than getting close and tapping it in. Because sometimes a fast ball hole in one is faster than a ball slowing down and coming to a stop. There are certainly holes where a hole in one is faster, like hole 5 or 8 iirc. Hole 1 who knows. Its just about how fast the hole in one is if you get it.

Yeah Dab Im on Pal PS2 slim 90k and thats what I got my PB on. My time is pretty optimal for the hardware and region. Just run with what you have and go for a good time you're happy with. Try also follow strats that we all use and find what works for you. WR is completely out of reach without J version.

I had already discovered that this was possible, Im pretty sure its by boosting on the right frame or something whilst right next to the breadsticks/locked doors if Im correct. I dont think there needs to be seperation, as at least I found it very inconsistent. If you have found a way to make it consistent by all means we should probably make a separate category. I only used the clips for IL times to improve my SOB ingame time.

I've been doing some TAS work on this game, and been comparing to WR. I am TASing on the NTSC U version. Questions: Why does WR use Fargus in level 5? Why does he die in the area before the slide, twice (I assume once wasn't done correctly), is there any significance to dying here? The WR builds up momentum in the air from just jumping normally (not jumping off slides/ramps) and is able to maintain this momentum and build it up throughout the map. I have tried to replicate how fast he moves in the air in TAS but am unable to. Is this a J version thing? I can tell something is different as directly comparing Shroom Lord boss, WR is able to make a cycle on the boulder and move very fast. I have a feeling these three questions might be related. But I want to know for sure. There is nothing in the tutorial, and there is no explanation in forums or guides. Thanks for the help.

If you want to do a run that involves having red bricks, do replay story or free play. Story runs are played as game intended. Replay story is the alternative, with different strats because you have invincibility etc which makes things safer and can play riskier.

For records sakes, after doing TAS work on the game, at 30FPS: Character Hop takes 18 frames, Character Hop with boots takes 10 frames. Rilla Hop takes 17 frames, Rilla Hop with boots takes 9 frames.
