Since on PC you only need 7500 points in Zip-Line to unlock the costume, you can collect the items on the section 3 instead of section 4. It's slower, but definitely easier. I don't think this strategy can be used in PS1 or N64 runs.
I have split the comics between the first and the second run. The reason is that in the first run I need a lot of web cartridges for the Mysterio and the second Venom fight, so I collect the comics which are close to web cartridges.
