it's so good to see people running the category I created a while back. I feel like this gives people another avenue to learn how to speedrun the game without any of the crazy strats any% or even the new "no scroll glitch" category has to offer. I feel like Koops% is a good stepping stone to get more people involved in learning the more spicy types of runs!

So I decided to embark on this journey finally. I am doing 100% but with no screen wrapping. or glitches I guess. like I'm doing the varia bomb jump. Which category should I post my runs in when I get to that point? I don't see a glitchless category unless I'm just not seeing it... thank you for your time. :)

yes the gvusb2 is a great entry level capture device you can get for the money and it's super simple to use. there is a video on youtube showing how to install the drivers. it should come with a disc if it doesn't there's drivers you can download for it but it requires you to enter in the serial number to verify the purchase. but the drivers are super simple to DL even tho it's all in japanese. I'll link the video here I used to install my drivers. but if it comes in a box it should have the disc with it. but just in case this video will help for the drivers.

this is an interesting topic. I know Lozcardsfan23 knows a bit about the C64 version. maybe he can put some information here as well about it. I'll shoot him a whisper and get his thoughts on this as well.

I was toying with the idea of running low% at some point soon this year. Can a category for low% be added by chance? thank you in advance

Plus since TRAX finished the final version of RotRF it's totally legit. There are versions of it floating around where it ends at level 7. but the final finished rom has all of level 8 and it's 100% complete and tough as nails to run!

I AGREE!!! there are a lot of Contra rom hacks and I think they should be on here as an added challenge! Contra '93 was a good one!

how about the new ENHANCED version that was just released with the NESTOPIA emulator? is it okay to run that version? It seems to run fine as far as frame rate goes. I just like how much cleaner and how it looks graphic wise.
