Hey all,

I plan to run on the switch and see that the n64 switch controller has been sold out for like a year now. I don’t want to pay 100 bucks, but I do want to use a n64’ish controller with the stick in the middle. Wondering if there is any other options…any good knock off versions?

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

I’m currently on a MacBook Pro from 2013. I play retro games (SMB1 currently) and can only run at 30 FPS or it gets really choppy. I am dropping frames for sure.

Anyways I’m wondering the best option for a laptop for streaming at an affordable price. I’m looking for anything under 600 bucks honestly .

I will only be using it for streaming and clearly internet.

Thanks!!!!

I assume the standard pro controller. Judd at t want to be sure before I buy. I struggle with low jump consistency on 1-2. Right now I have the standard switch controller that comes with the system.

Thanks!

I could look through all the runs to determine...I’m wondering in here so the time that the below run would conceivably achieve.

370-with FPG 346-no clip 340-no FPG 353-no blaze it clip 200-good judges 342-no BBG 242-no FPG 313 finish

THANKS ALL! (Ps-I don’t have a huge understanding yet of all the frame rules, I just kind of go off the in game timer in regards to if I saved the frame rule or not)

I think I can call myself a speedrunner now. The agony of defeat means I’ve made it. Lololol

Hi all,

Just dusted off my OLLLLLD MacBook Pro 2007. Got a new battery. Updated to EL CAPITAN 10.12. Wondering if SLOBS is possible. I’ve been googling and youtube’ing and have yet to locate an answer. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

I’m wondering for the SWITCH runners out there (or any runners with a lot of knowledge). Is there truly a difference here? I ask because I am having a very hard time with consistencies on the pipe jumps. I have a PB of 5:09, my sum of best segments would be 459, but I am losing almost all my runs on the pipe jumps. I typically get to 8-1 and just miss one. I rarely have problems with 8-2 or 8-4 pipe jump. It is largely the pipe jumps crushing me.

I watch other runners largely handle the pipe jumps fairly consistently.

I’m wondering if it’s worth it to move to a NES CLASSIC or if I should just carry on with the SWITCH.

My goal is just sub 5.

Thanks all,

I’m trying like hell here to wrong warp at 375, but the best I can get is 374. I’m going the 3 bump method, the easy one, without the elevator platform bump. I’ve seen many people do this 3 bump method and get in the pipe at 375. Is there something I’m Missing??? I’ve watched kosmics tutorial and still can’t get it.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hi all,

I’m sure this question has been answered so I’ll be brief. Any difference running on the switch timing wise? I’m timing by video/iPhone, just wanted to make sure my run isn’t faster or slower than the 5:09 it says.

Thanks!!,

Hi all.

I’m looking to get stream SMB1 from a Nintendo switch with a LGTV. I have a MacBook Air laptop...I do also have an extra monitor as well. I’m wondering what the best option here for setup would be. I’d like to keep my out of poo let expenses under 200 if possible. I do want a facecam in my stream as well.

Side questions:

Best option for splits as well as best switch controller for running as mine constantly disconnects or syncs both controllers. (It’s the switch wireless controller that comes with the system).

Also, with the LG smart TV, while I’m used to it now, I hear people talk about CRT TVS to reduce input lag. The pipe jumps are giving me trouble. Maybe I just suck or maybe the tv could help.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all.
