Would I be allowed to play this way?

I'm not sure, what the difference would be between console, emulator, or this, so I would like to see a run of it.

Right now, I would allow it unless it has some benefits over the other two, such as faster loading times, RNG being set, etc.

@Frozer do you want me to make a comparison or something?

I don't think RNG would be affected in any way, but loading times might be affected somehow.

If you want to do a run, just do it :)

If I were to do it, what console should it be listed under? Or would it count as an emulated run?
