GreeceIn the 1.70 version of the game (can be found in the resources tab), times usually ending in xx.x7 in other versions end in xx.x6. This is time save that IS counted in the leaderboards, thus incase a level you're trying to get a good time on is included in the 1.70 version , you should maybe play on that!
Looking at old forum posts, it seems that there used to be more categories, but currently unless i'm stupid and I don't see them there's only the tutorial. Why is that?? I can think of plenty of categories that'd be great for iron snout, and I think it's a bit of a shame to only have the tutorial
Hey! I'm considering running the all trophies category for this game , but here's the catch. I already have all the trophies , so how is this supposed to work? Do I need to just do what im supposed to do for the trophies without actually them needing to pop? Do I have to make a new PSN account? (im from ps3). If it's the new PSN account thing, then do I also need to pay 10 bucks for an online pass for my new PSN account, since online trophies are also a thing? Sorry if this is an obvious thing, I'm just not sure if there's something specific i should do. Thanks!
Hello there! I wanted to make this post for quite a while, but i decided not to for various reasons, and now i think is the appropriate time to make this.
With 3 and a half years of experience of being a part of the happy wheels speedrunning community, and about 5 years of being part of the happy wheels community in general, i think i will be quite a valuable asset to the moderator team. I have had moderating experience outside of speedrun.com , but curretly not have any moderating obligations in speedrun.com, and thus i can dedicate my time to helping the mod team in this game. Both Reverse and Maximum are amazing mods whom i respect, but both Reverse and Maximum have moderator obligations in other games, which may decrease the amount of time you guys will be able to put into happy wheels (even tho your response times are still great).
Futher more, I think having a person in a different time zone (EET) will also help in moderating. If you cannot accept me that is totally ok, I just thought to ask because I believe i can be helpful to the mod team :D. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
So, i want to speedrun the Gun range- 64 tick- AK section, but there is a slight problem. If i record csgo with OBS, the recording seems to have a noticable delay betweem audio and video, and lags a bunch. This doesnt happen with anything else i record on OBS, so idk whats up. The only alternative i could think of was recording a POV (point of view) demo. So, i tested that out (not on the actual guns course, but on the trainings course a few minitues before the speedrun would take place). Turns out it can record pov demos, and i believe its even better than just obs recording. Let me explain.
While the net graph doesnt show, while watching the demo you can use the command net_graph 1 and it will show the legitimate net graph that would be shown on that stage. And its even better because it cant be doctored. While you could technically edited the net graph in a video (while pretty hard its still possible), with the POV demo you are sure you are given the legitimate statistics, and a full start to end non spliced recording.
For the peeps that might not know how to open one, you just take the demo, you put it into the csgo folder, and then in game your press Shift + F2 to open that folder. You load the POV, and you watch it.
I think its a pretty legitimate way of verifing runs. So, would sending a POV demo of the run as evidence count?
YES! I think you guys should also restore the 3 runs that were removed from the leaderboards when Chambers came. Its the next logical step. In my opinion, the whole emulator/NES change in leaderboards and the run removals were just to give chambers 1st place. Thats old news tho, and a debatable topic, so im just suggesting restoring everything.
Is the loadless timer from the resources accurate with TFE Co-Op runs? Should it be used?
I have the ps3 version of wwe 2k15, and i really wanted to run royal rumble , but ps3 isnt listed. Could i still submit it and do it?
I throught reversedmirty had banned replays some time ago, but apparently not lol. So lets see this as a new subject. There are multiple ways one could use something like a cheat engine on happy wheels, TASing it, making a replay of it, and done. Also, replays are extremley broken and unreliable at times, so the best methon of authentication in my opinion would be someone completing the level, having the "Victory" panel with the authentic time in it visable, and clicking "view replay". This not only authenticates the time through the victory panel, but also saws the full (and most reliable) replay not in full totaljerkface.com replay funcionallity which means that you can also make sure no other cheat engine stuff happened there. That is my opinion of how mods should authenticate happy wheels runs. Not through a video playing a totaljerkface.com replay, or the link of the replay itsself, but through the victory panel replay, which in my opinion, is the most reliable of all of them. I hope ItsMaximum and ReverseDmirty decide to apply this.
So, i used to speedrun a small serious sam game, the greek encounter, but i never submitted a run, but now that i have revolution, tfe, and tse i decided to start running again. I did a 43 second run of the first tfe level on revolution, but then i saw that the other runs were somehow going very very fast. How is that possible? Any answer on how to do this would be appricated!
I will be taking a hiatus from happy wheels speedrunning for a bit because i i dont really like where the community is going towards to. I feel like demo% is killing happy wheels IL speedrunning. I dont really see anyone grinding or even running any ILs recently, And i feel like that is because everyone is grinding demo% , including me. Dont get me wrong, demo% is a cool category and people should run it, but i feel like ILs are never ran anymore because everyone grinds demo%. To clarify, i dont have ANY kind of problem with anyone that runs demo%, nor do i have a problem with the category its self, i just feel like ILs are being ignored wayyy too much imo. Because i dont feel like there is enough competition in the stuff i most enjoy about hw speedrunning, ILs, i wll take a hiatus and focus on other games for now. I will submit some of My IL times i havent submitted yet and go for now. I will be back in a few months. Again, that doesnt mean i hate somebody or something is happening or that i have a problem with someone, its just a hiatus. see ya
So i had been working this on my mind for quite a while but i finally decided to get my idea ti the test and make aTAS of it so i can simulate it. The TAS its self seems to be a little bit above 15 seconds cause i suck at stage 2 (my PB is 5 seconds faster than that lol). What i made this TAS for in the first place was to test something out in stage 3. I timed my stage 3 and graystripe's wr stage 3, and it seems like we have 3 second diffrence cause i timed mine 36 seconds and his was 31 seconds. I did not have the best execution on stage 3 and im sure i can find a better pattern to do this on that might make it a bit more of a diffrence, and if i can find a strat that tops graystripe's wr run by even 3 seconds or so, then we could find a start that is humany possible which we could use for sub 1 times. This was a very experiemental TAS, its actually the first TAS i have ever done so im sore for unprofessionality here, but im sure i can improve this to atleast be closer to graystripe's run with a diffrent strag.
Anyways, i used FCEUX to make the TAS. I recorded the Movie with OBS both the time the lag counter and frame counter was showing up and a clear gameplay with just the playing button showing up. My PC sucks so the run was a bit laggy, so there is a slight chance that my stage 3 was better than graystripe's stage 3 and because of lag i timed it wrong, but im not sure. If anyone wants the file of the movie so they can examan it further, please let me know and i'll send you the file asap! Without and futher to do, here's the TAS. Please give me your advise and notes on my TAS, so i can improve it more.
Ah, it sucked. I rage quited on snow, Scarl also rage quited like 18 mins on the run and then armageddon won, On rope swings vs ninjaz. Dont get me wrong the ILs were Really fun but demo is far away from having any sort of entertainment on anyone's soul. If you are looking to run demo, STAY FAR AWAY FROM IT. The ILs were fun so im hoping we get to do one of these again, exluding demo%.
Theres a guy named "guccigang" that was 2nd place, but in his timer he had beated my faked run, and now the run is deleted off youtube after the retime lol. Im pretty sure it was fake as well :P

im trying to get a wr on atleast one category in each tekken game. Tekken 5 was the first game ive ever played when i was 4 years old, and its my favourite game (And franchise). I love tekken so im gonna do that. nothing special to see here, move along
So, i had an idea, inspired from kapap. Kapap for those who dont know is a small "film" that has goldeneye 007 runs that runners saved for this small film. I decided to do my own type of thing but instead call it happy saving and have it be for happy wheels. If you have an impressive PB or WR on a level (that has more than 1 run excluding yours) get that impressive PB or WR and upload it on your channel as "unlisted". The video HAS to be unlisted on your channel to qualify. then after happy saving is out you can of course submit the run. but you have to wait until happy saving is published, to submit a run to speedrun.com leaderboards. To submit your run to happy saving please DM me on twitter (@PopIn_Games) My DMs are always opened.You can send me the link to your UNLISTED video on your channel and then something describing it. remember, be human. Tekken 5 was the first game i ever played when i was 4 years old and i still played it for a few months back. Unfortunaley my PS2 is now dead, but i will probably buy a new one to do some runs. all these years i remember, on arcade history mode (on tekken 1,2,3) i couldnt quit normally and whenever i chose one game i had to close my ps2 and then open it again toget to the main menu, r change game in the arcade history mode. Is there anything that im not aware of that allows you to quit that without shutting down the PS2?
