Yeah! 'No upgrade' sure makes for an interesting run. But to keep a low score run is possible, I tried it out myself. Mega Bomberman for example: Every kind and amount of enemy in any stages is always the same. You get a higher score by defeating enemies, collect coins (at te end of each stage) and by destroying certain objects. the score also depens on the amount of 'combos' you make (defeating two enemies at the same time etc). If you do the math of what objects needs to be destroyed and what not you can calculate the lowest score.

I wrote a pretty simple beginners guide on that topic ("Low-Score-Speedrun (low%) GUIDE"). You can read about my Experience on this topic. I would be glad if you or anybody could share his opinion. (ps luck is a big factor in this)

Hey ho guys! I recently started doing Bomberman speed runs. I specialize in low% -runs from classic Bobmerman games (Super Bomberman, Mega Bomberman etc). I just didn't find any specific rules for Bomberman low% -runs and wanted to define a few of my own. I'm just torn back and forth with the conditions. Should a low% -run forbid to take up any items? Since Bomberman is a game with a score, should the only requirement be to keep the score low by any means? Does that mean that items do not matter as long as you get the lowest score? Some feedback would be nice.

thanks in advance

I regularly play Prince of Persia on my Pal Sega Mega Drive. I'm not a speedrunner with a top speed, but I thought I'd see if there was a record in the community. Amazingly, however, there is no category for the Genesis / Mega Drive version. Can it be that the DOS version doesn't make a big difference or is it generally not allowed to submit the Sega version?
