Hiya! I decided this to be my first speedrun game coz I love it and don't mind sinking in another 100+hours, however I got a BIG question.... Is there a discord or something to avoid filling this forum with question? also on a side note, I understand any% = break the game, but has anyone figured out a way to avoid simply spamming items for fights? would make the run a lot mroe fun :D

"General Kenobi"

Ok I made an overused joke so I can calm down a little. Hi everyone, Sin here, I'm a 28 yrs old guy from Switzerland, for the past 5/6 years I've been watching (or afk-watching while doinf stuff) lots of speedruns and I FINALLY found that little spark of motivation to ignite the "let's give it a shot" train.

A little about me; I'm not a streamer, mostly due to the fact that I suffer from terrible anxiety since my earliest memories (yeah, thanks asperger) and growing up videogames were the only thing that kept me from falling into, well, bad stuff. Seeing all these events for mental health and medical research always made me think "maybe even in my little dark corner of the room one day I'll be able to help someone" and since I play games all day, for a long time I wanted to learn to speedrun.

My favourite games are hack&slash and (J)RPG, so I'd like to ask a few question to the veterans here:

  1. I have a bad vibes for nostalgia games, pixelated games and generally not "up to date" graphics (what I mean is that a game like FF7 is stunning to me, the effects and everything for that time are incredible, but compared to newer stuff the new one are simplay more eye-relaxing to me to enjoy), I might enjoy watching (and re-watching again and again) speedruns of "old" games, but I just can't find any motivation to play them, so speedruns of the big classic is a no-no for me, I understand that the most important thing for learning to speedrun is liking the game, what could you suggest as a starting point? Length of the game is not important so even 8 hours runs are ok for me

  2. I have a sweet spot for a games in particular, World of Final Fantasy, and I couldn't help but notice that very few people run the game, is there some hidden place where to find info on how to get started?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, hayve a nice day. Sin's Out

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I plan to run on PC only
