Considering he deleted his "suggestions" i will close this thread.
A while ago i asked for new moderators to be added to Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dawn of Destiny which was promptly processed, until recently someone contacted me due to no response of the previous mods, which led to obvious confusion.
I'd like to request for the Super Mod Tyler9698 to be removed as a Moderator entirely to avoid such confusions in the future. He has been inactive on the site for 6+ Months now, so i doubt he will come back anytime soon, thanks.
Hello there. As of late some people of various YGO Communites (Thatonenewtagerplayer, GenericMadScientist, GCAH2006, jan_susi, Tyler2022, themataurian, thotsicle, thugtrio and myself) had a discussion about a unified discord server for all YGO speedrun games on src.
Our current proposal would look like this:
Games that don't have a dedicated channel yet can always be added if the demand is there and if a game has a bigger/rapidly growing player base (like Forbidden Memories, DotR or LotD): they are more than welcome to start their own servers.
Channels for FM, DotR and LotD only contain a invite link to their respective servers and a small collection on general information.
As for current roles: Admins and Discord Mods Roles will be adjusted as needed.
In each channel there'll be a pinned message as general resources and will be edited with new information that needs to be added.
The idea as it stands currently is to take the already existing Gameboy Server and modify it into the hub server.
If there are any questions please feel free to ask! We will wait for more opinions before any final move will be made.
Thank you!
We are sorry it took that long! The Leaderboard change happened and your run has been reviewed and verified.
Again, sorry that you had to wait that long! This won't happen again.
Which sub category should be shown first when visiting the LB: Console or Emulator?
Please post your answer below!
After it taking a little too much time on our end, the Leadboard got split into two sub categories for each main category: Console and Emulator.
These had to be seperated after testing Load Times, Lag and various Screen Transitions for being too inconsistent from each other, which adds up rapidly.
We are sorry for the amount of time it took to complete this change and want to thank you for being patient!
PS.: If you are a runner, please vote which sub category should be shown first here: https://www.speedrun.com/Yu-Gi-Oh_GX_Tag_Force/thread/zdq6j/1#ujz01

Both mods haven't been online for 4+ months and can't be contacted otherwise due to inactivity online. (And thus can't verify currently pending runs) I'd like to request two new moderators: thatonenewtagerplayer and myself due to our moderation of almost the entire yugioh series.
Personally, i like the idea, but we can't allow modified versions of the game (in any form) to be allowed on the leaderboards, because the potential that such mods temper with other aspects of the game besides visuals is always present.
Due to recent changes, gcah2006 will no longer moderate Yu-Gi-Oh! related speedruns. It was a personal and understandable decision.
Because of this, a new Series Moderator was added, Tagerplayer! Tager was also added to multiple Yu-Gi-Oh! Games as a addition for the lost moderation spots from gcah.
Date for the race is the 22nd. Starting time will be around 11am CEST. We should have enough setups for everyone! Be ready. The Final 6 await.
Hey Guys! Just like last year i'm trying to get people together for a Forbidden Memories race, you know, the one speedgame with the final six dudes that are impossible. OpieOP
We are currently 6-7 People and the race will most likely be held in a dedicated room that is still in the planning phase.
If you want to participate, post in this thread when you are available, have a run and/or applied for hosting/donation reading/tech/something and have/need a console or emulator setup!
I'll work out a day and time where everyone should be able to join :)
How would it be defined? to properly track every duelist they must be registered and the story must be finished to get certain duel spirits and confirmation of every non registrable duelist e.g. Jinzo.
If possible, i'd request my run to be rescheduled to the 26th or before, cause a certain person would really like to be on the couch for my run, but leaves at the 27th.
If it's not possible, no biggy, but that would be awesome, thanks!
I'm in the process of rerouting Sacred Cards (with the help of GCAH2006) that should save quite some time. The estimate should be kept at 53min though, just for safety, you never know.
As of right now it seems everyone who wanted to have their opinion on this topic voiced, either here, through twitch chat comments, or discord posts, tweets etc. have done so.
I wanna go through a few points first that various people confronted me with.
My "ability" to get almost every run in a small amount of time to Final 6 - even with a really bad deck, this is normally achievable and not the hardest thing to do, as seen many times. The New Game+ PB i got after a short amount of completed runs (i think it was 4 or 5) - this time is still bad and can be improved by a lot (5-6 2 turn kills) and it wasn't hard to beat in the first place. My second finished 100% run with incredible fast Heishin drops - I can't deny that i was surprised, but what no one mentioned was my 20h grind for Monster Egg, or that i got my first trap after farming Kaiba 37 hours in. And as soon as GFC_ continues his still ongoing 100% run, he will very likely beat my time by a couple of hours. My amount of good drops in my runs - how should i be able to prove or disprove RNG? As for my Final 6 Easy/Hard Modes, i can't say much about that, since it either happens or not, and again, everyone has seen easy modes happen more then once. That i "did all of this" to get money/donations - do people even realize what they say with this? People don't support me because of Forbidden Memories, but because of the time i invest(ed) into it on stream, and the community that built around my channel knows that i won't play FM forever and will move on.
We had a lengthy discussion about this in my stream community, so i can say for sure, they don't support me because of Forbidden Memories, but because of me as a person/streamer.
There is one thing though i need to make clear: I'm, and i always was, up for a normal discussion about anything, as i did with a few people, for example gcah. He is 110% sure i cheated, yet still i can have a civil discussion with him. But there are people who can't do that and just start insulting and even banning people from twitch chats that have a different opinion. That shouldn't be a thing and i do believe that those people don't have a right to take part in this discussion at all! No need to attack each other, just have a friendly discussion.
Those are a few things i wanted to point out. As for the leaderboards and my times: I agree that something needs to happen, since i can't even trust my own console for this. To ease everyones mind around this my times have to go, easy as that. Since because of this i obviously can't continue moderating the leaderboards, i will remove myself as a mod, but you should find someone else to replace me, since Kollin can do it on his own very easily, but really shouldn't! I will continue to run this game on a native NTSC PS2 console soon (hopefully), but if i'm not allowed to submit my new times, i can understand and will respect that!
If i'm not welcome in the Forbidden Memories community anymore after this, i respect that aswell and won't bother anyone, since this can be seen as a huge trust breaker. I did not cheat, nor will i ever feel the need to cheat in Forbidden Memories, even though sometimes i wanna break my disc into pieces.
People pointed out, even though we had to "sacrifice" me, froggy and other people did a great job on digging deeper into the game, and we are even close to have a draw prediction for duels, so thank you guys for your research!
I'm in no bad blood with anyone and will talk to everyone who has the ability to do that in a normal way, but i'm really disappointed in the behavior of quite a few people in this situation, that were around in the past in the FM Community.
I'm really sad that Pokemon Yellow had to drop out, but freaking love that Fable is back in, can't wait for that run Kreygasm
And of course: Tekken 3 back to it's old glory category PogChamp
I think the better question is gonna be... will there be a single/co-op tournament? Kappa
As we all know, Forbidden Memories takes way too much skill and preperation to be ran on the first day... Kappa The only thing i'd really like is to show off the Pocketstation Device, so a 10-15min extra would be nice, probably perfect doable with a donation incentive. :)
