NetherlandsI know that, but I dont think that every runner wants to time out all of the loading. There are people who are not able to capture either.

The start is pretty much the same as any% Kak Bottle route except after Ganondoor you save warp and get chus in spirit trial, then do Jabu, then DC Cavern (get bombs if you're a beginner) and then get the ocarina.
Loading times vary each time. Even if you run digital, you can still lose/gain seconds over your previous time due to loading being different each time. The post I made a long time ago which those timing (top of the post) and it shows that the load times a just to random.
Note that I made that post way before I also became a moderator. I wasn't against digital version (and I still am not), I just posted that for the people who were interested in the differences. Not allowing digital versions is a bad idea in my opinion because nowadays many people own a digital copy. Some people buy that version before they even get into speedrunning. But the same goes for people who got disc before they started speedrunning. It's not fair for those who have to deal with slow loading but in the end its about self improvement aswell.
For 150cc you usually want to build Streetle (Blue falcon is also good but streetle has a tiny advantage) with slick tires and super glider. If you dont have DLC then Pipe frame is what you should go with instead.
The vc/only route is not vc only. It can be done on any 1.1/1.2 version.
You can just use the MQ VC inject instead. I think its on the MQ forum on SRC but if not you can ask there.

Anything 2.0 or higher has much faster loading and less lag. is a comparison but the old comparison video doesn't exist anymore. That's the reason why 2.0 and higher is not allowed for speedrunning the game.

You can manipulate the down-roll with some camera adjustments for the hold slightly down part which alot of people don't know about.
Emu runs using GIM are not allowed on the leaderboards
Time trails = 1 player on the map with 3 mushrooms. No items vs mode is not the same as time trials.

For 150cc that would be the most heavy characters: Bowser (Skell Bowser), Wario, Morton, and MII For 200cc you'd look for a medium character such as; Tanooki Mario, Yoshi, Daisy etc. Kart setups are generally the same. Streetle/BF + Slick + Glider for 150cc For 200cc, Pipe Frame is generally used in combination with Slick and Glider.
GIM is possible on N64, just not as convenient as VC has it. It takes some extra stept for it to not crash.
