Haha quite alright. I'm still trudging along the game naturally and wow, it certainly ramps up in difficulty by Level 5.
I recently bought this game and was wondering if it was speedrun-able; once I play through the game, I may start practicing it.
It looks like Play+ would be the more challenging run considering it would be deathless. Would you suggest I tackle a Play speedrun before that?
I'd like to congratulate hacxpiont on taking over nearly all my records; I am thoroughly impressed. I promise I will try to improve my times at some point to reclaim the records, but I am terribly busy for the next month or so with internships and my work. Someday I will be back, haha.
Warms my heart knowing I inspired at least one person, haha. I'll have to come back if my records get broken.
Hmm...I do agree that the routing is barely different, but I think it would potentially eliminate the standing around for the 10 minute gaps, you know? I think a Deadly Sin % has a nice ring to it, haha.
And yes, while this is not a very populated leaderboard, I find that's why I like it! Has a unique feel to it.
Hello everyone,
I've been absent for too long from both this game and speedrunning in general. I was thinking about a potential category for this game the other day.
NG+ All Psychopaths and/or NG All Psychopaths would be what the name implies; kill all psychopaths and finish the game. Not sure if this implies an S Ending (I believe it does but I could be wrong since I have been away from the game for a while).
Is this a good idea? Thoughts? I can attempt it at some point soon if it's a decent enough idea.
I was not aware of the numbers for level-select. Thanks for the tip!
I can only speak for myself; I've simply been too lazy to get some IL's since you have to really grind to get an excellent time.
I know there was a thread that Zecora made asking for footage of IL's so that he can splice a "perfect run" together.
I actually have never used Discord, only heard about it. Is it basically a variation of Skype?
That's something I have yet to see! Interesting. Not sure if this will lead to some weird mechanics that would be useful, but interesting nonetheless.
Ahhh yes, good to see new faces! Good luck with the runs, looking forward to more competition.
Of course, I will take a slight break from the game now the SGDQ is done. I'll be exploring more games to speedrun, but I will come back to this at some point, naturally.
I was pretty stoked about not dying. I felt like I was going to throw up halfway through due to my nerves. Didn't even notice until after the fact!
Thank you for the kind words everyone. It was a pleasure and an experience to be able to attend my first GDQ, and running a game, no less.
Glad that I could be some source of inspiration, Notester! Good luck with the run attempts!
Hey all,
So, I am still pretty new to the whole Speedrunning/Twitch community, and as such, I am still figuring out different functions that streaming provides.
That being said, I was wondering if we could get a race going at some point? Just to get some runs in. I've never attempted a race so I was curious as to the logistics of putting that together.
Haha, thanks! Feelin' the love, gentlemen. I bet I'll get a slot between 2-5 AM but I'm okay with that :P
I am super pumped that I got in! This is my first GDQ event ever and I just started speedrunning this year, so I am wicked anxious. I hope that this will bring a little more exposure to the game. I ALSO hope I don't royally choke in front of thousands of people.
Gotcha. I'll probably start some attempts this upcoming weekend.
Okay, so just to make sure I understand:
Record just individual levels, and time them? Is LiveSplit okay to use for the timer?
Hahah sure thing man. I'm usually pretty busy but I can probably find the time at some point.
