Hello! This game does use the in-game timer, which removes the loads for the cutscenes. You can see this is stated in the category rules for each category.
Good luck with the runs!
In case it wasn't obvious from the previous runs I've submitted, I use the classic controls when playing New Era (i.e. punch = item grab, punch+jump = back attack & item throw). Mainly because I didn't want to get lackadaisical about my position relative to items while grinding the OG sor2.
I've run games on 3 of those, so here are my recs:
sega genesis
flash
browser
If my comment is most liked, I guess you can just choose whichever you please (my favorite is Grippy). Also, the N64 game Buck Bumble has been getting new discoveries recently and has a couple active runners vying for the top with those, so you could jump into that if you wanted to join in.
There's already a speedrun for minus world—it's in the category extensions:
Welcome! Anyone whose account is at least 7 days old may submit a game to have a new leaderboard created here by going to "Support" and clicking on "new ticket". Be sure to read the game request rules when you do.
If it is accepted, you will be the moderator of the leaderboard and will have to set up the initial categories, so you might want to look through some similar games to get a feel for how that works. (I would suggest not creating many categories to begin with.)
Note that you will be required to have two-step authentication enabled in your settings. You also need to have at least two social media accounts linked in your profile so people can contact you outside of this site if necessary, but you've already got that covered.
I think it would be a good idea to lock all threads that haven't been interacted with for over 3 months to prevent necroposts.
The problem with any specific limit is there are threads where there's not necessarily much to post for a given stretch of time, but are still relevant over a year later. For example, some people have set bounties that last over a year, and there are threads in specific games where people periodically make progress understanding some aspect of how the game works.
It'd be better if there were actual forum mods to just close threads that definitely aren't relevant anymore.

The first game I recorded my runs for was Shelled Shinobi. It's a short, fast paced platformer that's easy to get into running.
