Hi! I'm happy to answer some of your questions.

If you want to upload times for individual maps, you can either submit a time you got from a single-player campaign run, or you can just select the map on the main menu and play through the map that way for the time it gives at the end.
-
Yes, this is allowed!

A YouTube upload of your run or a Twitch highlight are the best ways to upload your runs.

If you don't already use Livesplit, I highly recommend giving it a download. If you're doing a run of a specific level you don't need splits, but if you do a run of the entire single-player campaign you'll want splits to go with it. As for "tips" really all you need to do is bind a key on your keyboard to split when you complete a map/a certain number of waves. Personally, I have my split key on my numpad.
Hello!
Currently, there is no category for 20 waves on single player. In fact, there could have been something we missed: Is it actually possible to select how many waves you play on single player mode? We chose 30 waves for the individual levels because that seems to be the default and we knew of no way to change that amount.
Hello, I'd like to request removing some super mods for Portal (https://www.speedrun.com/portal), specifically BiiWiX and PerOculos. The mod team has contacted both of them on multiple occasions, and while we got rare responses, there was no action taken on their part to remove themselves. The both of them have not verified runs for the game in well over a year, and we believe it would be beneficial if we removed them due to inactivity.
Thank you very much Ace!
At least if I try to bring my time much lower I know how to do it now.
i recorded a minute of failed cube throws on 12 to show how im cube throwing. Only managed to get one that was close (can't even tell what I did different) hopefully its just something flying over my head, I have watched other runners but I cant seem to replicate their throws Thanks for the help! I know it might be hard to help with something like this.
Greetings fellow portal speedpeople. I have been encountering problems with getting exceptional distance when performing cube throws (This is especially noticeable/notable in chambers like chamber 12 with the bigger cube throw). No matter how I flick my mouse or when I release the cube, it always seems like a gamble. I've never been able to get good throws consistently. Are there any tips or strategies to help improve the distance I get from cube throws? I'd really love to know, I really want to get a top 10 time soon.
Thank you!
Glitchless is a very simple category that any new runner should be able to grasp without much trouble. I recommend going to the "Guides" section of the Portal page and watching WadaWada's tutorial on how to run the category.
