[center] [big][big]Why it works[/big][/big][/center]

The Spike Island dupe is a glitch where we use the spikes thats possible to get as one of the skeleton islands. The spikes will kill the player instantly and therefor is easy to set up. It works based on a mayor issue in the code where inventory can be saved without saving the world. This makes it possible to reload the save with a inventory that doesn't correspond to world save at the same time. I would like to point out that skill points are part of the inventory as well as in-game time, but experience is not.

[center][big][big] How its done[/big][/big][/center]

Skill Points

Setup for skill dupe:

• Set up the Experience meter so its missing as little as you can manage, 4 is the optimal missing exp.
• Line up close to the spikes and save your inventory by repeatedly opening and closing your inventory.
• Mine a tree or rock close by and as soon as you lvl up walk/roll into the spikes.
• Reload your file and repeat.

Items

Setup for item duplication is not much harder but is divided into two parts, this is the time before and after you get a vault.

Before (getting enough steel for vault):

• Set up a furnace close(1 screen makes it a lot easier, but the placement of the furnace can technically be anywhere) to the spikes and make it craft a piece of steel.
• Than step up to the spikes and save your file using your inventory.
• Pick up the steel using your mouse and walk/roll into the spikes.
• When reloading there should be 1 steel in your inventory and 1 on the grass in front of the furnace. So repeat until you have 5 or 6

After(Multiple item duplication using the vault):

• Set up the vault close to the spikes, but not in the way for you to move into the spikes.
• Load the items you want to dupe into the vault and line up next to the spikes.
• Save the game using your inventory.
• Break the vault and roll into the spikes immediately after picking up the items.
• When reloading you should have a vault in the same place as before breaking it containing the items that was dropped in. -
• The same amount of items should be in the inventory, than just repeat from the second step until you have enough of the items you want.

Note:

• Both dupes can be performed at the same time but it requires setup of both items and experience.
• Using this form of inventory saving is a [b] Major Glitch [/] and is not allowed in NMG
