What about the layout is confusing? It's much simpler than the D1 boards in my opinion.
That's fair on the glimmer rule. I mentioned it because if there should be an edit to the glimmer rule it should be that you cannot use glimmer if you have max already instead of outright saying you can't do the run.
Its a huge pain but you time it in RTA while running and afterwards you take the VoD/Recording and run through it on a video editing program such as premier or vegas (or movie maker/ blender for free options) and delete all cutscene, orbit, and loading times out of the run and use the new video duration as the loadless time. You don't need to export that new video you just need the length of it. Hope this helps!
Also you can definitely start with 100k glimmer and be 100% inside the rules my WR NG run was done with 100k glimmer and that was fine because I never buy things in my runs.
You just have to make a note of how much you start your run with and make sure you don't drop below that amount.
Basically when he dies in the ghaul fight, instead of the death screen leaderboard thing after the wipe timer (watch my youtube link for example), he just instantly respawns as if he weren't in a darkness zone.
The current record NG run has some weird deaths on the ghaul fight that I wanted explained because they look different than mine. Im not saying hes cheating or anything I just want an answer to what is going on.
¤Edit¤ To make it more clear (because I wasn't) when he dies the death screen leaderboard doesn't appear and he instantly respawns as if he wasn't in a darkness zone. I included one of my own deaths in the ghaul fight for reference.
PC - these are from a recent run not posted to speedrun.com Console - these are from his current run
Mine for comparison - It should start right before my death.
Also my run (second place) is without a fireteam medallion so its not impossible to get that time without the medallion.
Ok, thanks for answering, I just wanted to clear it up and make sure.
I might run them that's why I'm asking and I don't want to waste 4-5 hours on a run that won't get accepted.
So I'm assuming mostly everyone knows about using the fast travel nodes to finish the same public event two or more times. I'm also assuming everyone knows how it works, so my question is this: Do you have to stay as a fireteam the entire run after you join up after spark? Or can you leave the fireteam during the level grinding sections? If you have to stay together the entire time the run will be much longer than the solo version.
That's insane, I'll probably stick to NG since its the easiest to run rn which is saying something since its a 4 hour run. That sucks that they basically killed most of the other runs.
How long does the NG+ grind take, because it sounds awful.
I already did a NG run with a friend we just joined up in orbit after leaving the tower from A Guardian Rises and I was wondering if that could be a category so we could post our run.
