Howdy, me and @MASH started up a discord for Simple 2000 series speedruns since we noticed there isn't one for basically any of them yet. The plan is to have a hub for anyone who runs games in this series. I've made some channels to talk about Demolition Girl since I thought having a place to strategize would be helpful.

Well I put as the rejection reason, not spam. If this was an automated ban, it happened well after I initially rejected the run and Amei was not notified. This is also not a documented feature anywhere as far as I can tell, and if it is I'm not sure why site staff are okay with mods being able to get users site banned.

Maybe it should be considered that an automated system shouldn't be able to ban a mod, let alone a super mod, for matters occurring within their own game. Either way Amei is still banned when he shouldn't be. Losing a super mod when we are about to make decent sized board changes is rather annoying.

To someone not familiar with the board this might look like spam, but its a regular submission that has a place holder video. The rejection message should also clearly show this wasn't a serious issue, and we were simply waiting for him to upload his VOD.

Amei is a Super Mod for Automata and we talk between mods very regularly. I'm not sure what site rule was broken but a temp-ban seems like a bit of an overstep here.

As with Drakengard 3, I'm making this new thread so that there is a place on this site to announce and discuss changes. Most of the talk will happen on Discord, but I'd like to keep a secondary record here.

First off, I've changed the rules to allow for emulator runs of the game. With the current number of runners this game has, I see no reason to place any barriers to entry. Emulator runs have their own variable at the moment (similar to how Nier does it). I prefer this method over having PS2 and EMU listed next to each other.

Second, I have added a guide which consists of my notes on Neurotik's 2:05 run. It has the general route and some select notes, but still needs some improvement.

Lastly, I've added the Drakengard Speedruns Discord to the page. This is the same Discord server being used for DOD3 which is run by @MASH (and me). Smaller details about rules and runs will be discussed on Discord first, and videos/streams will be linked there.

I have posted my notes on Neurotik's run as a guide. It has the basics of the route, but can and will still be improved upon. Any routing discussion will likely happen in discord.

Emulated runs are now allowed for Drakengard. Discussion will happen in discord to decide where the runs will be placed but for now they will be listed next to console runs (there are currently no emulator runs submitted).

edit: I've made variable for platform. Emulator runs will be listed separately but always visible.

@Daravae I didn't know I could, I've sent him one. Didn't expect him to become active again after so long, thanks for the heads up.

I'd like to request super moderator for Drakengard. The moderator @speedwerd has been very inactive, having still not replied to me from back when I requested moderator on Drakengard 3 (see https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/dueac/43 ). My reasoning for wanting moderator is the same as for Drakengard 3 (continuing to grow the community, etc.).

I would like to also request super mod for the Drakengard series. Right now I have runs for the two games that are added, and am planning to run Drakengard 2 soon.

@elainespencer did you ever get a guide going for the run? I was planning to take notes from NeurotikN3s run before doing runs of my own.

I'm looking to get a run of this submitted soon, and am planning to post about becoming a mod here. I think emu runs are a obvious addition. They are allowed in dod3 albeit hidden by default. With a game as old as this, I don't see any reason to not allow emulation.

Recently I took over as moderator after @Kerngesund stepped down and @speedwerd was inactive. In the time since there have been a few changes to this page.

First, there is now a Drakengard Speedrun Discord server which is led by @MASH and I (mainly MASH). The hope is for it to be an easier entry point to the game(s) and serve for more casual conversation.

Second, I've uploaded a save file which has maxed out everything, including the bloodstained intoner garb. I plan to add details on usage soon, but it's not too complicated. I've also made a copy of Kerngesund's [A] route guide which I will keep unmodified and in the original guide for now. Any changes made will be put under a different link in the same guide.

Third, we are looking to have a functioning discord bot within to help with general things and useful functions. At the moment the bot is working but is very bare bones while things are being worked on. Once it is at a point where it will be useful, it will be online 24/7. Fingers crossed.

Last, there have been talks of adding IL runs soon. Hopefully that will get fleshed out in the coming weeks. I'm hoping that IL runs will lead to more optimized routes for the full game, as well as a way to be involved without committing multiple hours.
