Well, I dunno. Low% will be a much harder grind, but I'll always wanted to push it sub 5. Same with Any% only with sub 4. I'm in university now so I currently don't have enough time to grind day after day. For now, I'll de-rust on my own way and then if I'm comfortable enough, I'll look into your new strats. Thanks.

You can actually boost yourself with the grenades you throw, it's extremely hard, but it works. I forgot about it, because I don't run it anymore, but as you wrote about the grenade-boost, I remembered. I tried it 2 years ago as I got the WR in the past. But not in a run though, because it's too difficult, for me at least, to pull it of while you are on PB pace. So you can theoretically boost yourself past the cutscene trigger, be really fast and faster than the railcar.

I think I discovered that boost, but never uploaded something, because I couldn't make it work consistently, so I forgot it even existed.

Sorry for replying so late, but I'm not really active anymore as speedrunning concerns. But since I'm de-rusting again, to get both of my long time WRs back, I kinda agree, that it's currently completely random. When I have time, I can also look into it further. Because it sucks, that RNG kills the run most of the time at the very end. On the other hand, are we lucky to have a really short run, so we can try more often, but that's a lame excuse.

If the run is faster, while one player is dying repeatedly, then I don't see why not. Honestly, I just assumed there wouldn't be any other rules, than in Any%.

I'm really sorry for answering this late. I "took" a speedrunning break, one year or even longer, can't remember. Better late than never I guess...

The boost is pretty easy, just press the movement button in the downwards direction (controller stick down), but I don't know the controls on the keyboard. Still I hope you know which button I mean.

So for the question: Any% = finish the game as fast as possible (there aren't really more rules than that) Low% = finish the game as fast as possible ONLY with the first bro. You aren't allowed to unlock any other bro, since it would break the "rules". It's a category I invented, with help of ShadowDraft, since it's almost the same length.

I think, the time without loads managed ShadowDraft for The Expendabros, really generous of him btw (thanks :)).

Hey guys, I guess I'm back after a one year (or even longer, can't really remember) break from speedrunning. Sorry if I didn't reply to a post regarding myself and my runs, but the updates until the final release killed my motivation, because even more RNG have been added.

I pretty much back. I have to grind some more and get used to the new skips you found in my absence. Also I figured out that you "new" - I mean runners that didn't run the game in early access - guys with those new records, don't use the old strats, for example zipline boosting (and I don't mean jump off to gain boost) and my Terrorkoptor cutscene skip I found myself. My PB is currently 50:40, but I after todays practice run, I know for sure, that I can get between 46 and 48, depends on my choke level, which I currently have to fight.

Still I have some questions, which I hope some of you can answer. Regarding the cutscene skip in GR666 and zipline glitch in Rail Forest. Maybe someone can explain a constant way for getting it. I'm pretty much struggling.

I think, a Campaign% and Arcade%, which could be the new Any%, should definitely exist. Then, like Maejin said, an Ironbro% category would also be nice. What do you guys think about an Low% category? Rambro only would take too long. Maybe if you start from scratch, I mean, delete the save files and start simply a new game and try to beat the game as fast as possible without the ability to have every bro available.
