I can't seem to find anything that mentions what difficulty the speedruns are on. Could someone please tell me?

I've been playing on Medium, but not sure what the times are posted against.

I've never ever done or even seen a run of this game but logic would strike me that whatever the easiest difficulty is is what people use.

Old thread, but for those like me coming in late...

It is played on Casual.

I followed the guide posted by Pixelkaye. When playing on Normal, the fights did not go as described in the guide. Switched to Casual and everything played out exactly as described in the guide.

Thought I'd update this thread just in case new runners see it as I've only just seen it.

The game is ran on Normal. On Casual you do not earn enough money to be able to buy the required items and on Hardcore you would need to block in order to not die.
