Hey! We are playing the PAL version, this is the official version of this game, released in Europe. The prototype version is faster and less known. If you really want to use this version, it won't be a problem to create a separate category for it.

That's not the same. This category is for a random map and shows who has completed any map the fastest. So you may be the fastest in 15 individual maps, but this 16th has the fastest time across the entire game. Until no one completes Any% there must be at least one category for the entire game. So I encourage you to participate in the conflict!

I understand your doubts because I had them myself when I tried to complete the "red island" category. This rule isn't very clear so I just survived before the islands exploded. In my opinion, this rule needs to be changed. Under no circumstances can you die and destroy the island at the same time. Neither before the torpedo launch nor after. You can't get hit before the island explodes. At the moment it looks like (as shown in the video) that you launched the torpedo before you were hit. But that's also a double K.O., so it's a paradox. I'm just a regular mod for a short time and it's worth waiting for a review of a super mod. For me it should be forbidden.

I only saw him once in a night location. After I shot him down I got 1up. But that was when I wasn't speed running yet. According to my calculations, it would save 10-15 seconds. Unfortunately, I don't know what causes it to appear, probably some very rare RNG
No problem to create a new category but there has to be enough interest from the community, so like my comment if You want one. The game is not very popular, I personally advise against it.
