Map Tile Collection

Tiles are pretty big so here's a download link from my Dropbox:

Tiles were exported by tpscrollbot with DS1 map editor.

Open index.html with your browser and it will give you a list of various tile collections with some additional notes from tpscrollbot.

Includes all Act 1 Cave, Barracks and Catacombs tiles. Act 3 Dungeon, Sewers and Jungle tiles. Act 5 Worldstone tiles.

Navigating the Jungle by tpscrollbot

Important things to know about the Jungle:
• Each Jungle area is 2 tiles wide and 6 tiles long
• They can be combined in any variation with some limitations
• Jungle areas can only have connections on tile 3, 5 or 6
• If Spider Forest and Great Marsh is connected on tile 6 then Great Marsh skip is impossible
• Each Jungle area has 3 camps
• Camps of the same area are never connected
• Tile 6 camps are much more likely to be connected to a new area

Take a look at tile collection by tpscrollbot for all act 3 tiles: https://www.speedrun.com/d2lod/guide/dadr3 It makes navigating the Jungle a lot easier when you understand the size of Jungle tiles. You'll understand your position well and overall it makes Jungle feel a lot smaller.

Record in Fullscreen Mode without Blackscreens (OBS)

Capturing this game through fullscreen mode, at least in OBS, created a delayed black screen whenever you transitioned from the game menu into the actual game and vice versa. An example of this happening can be seen here:

This is ultimately a quality issue and is a major issue when it came to verifying runs on speedrun.com. However, Glide wrapper is an allowed modification of the game as it greatly improves accessibility through video settings that make the game more playable on certain systems, and it can help us solve this problem as well.
