Using Game Time as final run time for leaderboard

Hi. I have uploaded a new auto splitter for the game (you can find it in Resources tab) which has a load removal feature for the 'Game Time' timer in LiveSplit. From what I've seen every runner has quite varying loading times, which may impact the final time. Personally I don't have issues, my load times are nearly instant but in my opinion using Game Time for the leaderboard instead of Real Time would reflect run times better without load times.

The load remover in auto splitter still has to be tested on other machines, but if it is reliable what do you think about this change?

Hey, I've not used an autosplitter before. What do you do with the 1nsane.asl file?

Edit: think I got it to work, at first glance seems to work. :)

Good to hear! I saw you have a long black screen after pressing Go and then a shorter actual loading screen, does the auto splitter pause during the whole freeze or just the loading screen with a picture?

Couldn't tell you right now. I upgraded both obs and livesplit and I guess something broke as I can't get livesplit to stay on top of the screen during a recording now. Will look into that later. But the livesplit definitely starts and splits on its own.

I created a guide how to launch the game in windowed mode and not have your mouse stuck inside the game. Maybe that will help you with your issues. Guide: 1nsane - Guides - Speedrun

What do you think @Lonne? Both me and Strelkovka been running the game with autosplitter and it hasn't had any issues removing load times and splitting. It's only fair we time by IGT considering the difference in loading speeds between players.

Strelkovka gefällt das.
