Texas, USAHi, I am a moderator of https://www.speedrun.com/dragon_escape and I would like to request for the removal of super-mod Cerdax.
There's a little bit of backstory I will have to explain first:
Before Izraill retired, it used to be me (a moderator) and Him (super-mod). A week ago, He decided to resign from communities He wasn't active on, and before resigning He replaced himself with some new mods (Illumina who is a super-mod, BlueCrysta004 who is a mod, and Cerdax who is a super-mod). The problem is however, Cerdax was banned for cheating 2 years ago, and unbanned a year ago. He is also on a watchlist (as are all formerly banned players are). Izrail didn't know of Cerdax's history (because He wasn't very active on Dragon Escape, He left me to watch over Dragon Escape as He looked over other Minecraft speedruns), so He made Him mod before He left a few months after Cerdax requested Him for mod. I do not think it would be a stretch to say someone who has had a history of cheating, and is even on a watchlist, would be a good fit to become mod (let alone super-mod, but that was a mistake from what I heard, Izrail only meant to make Him verifier).

Most people in DE have never read the rules yet have a basic idea. Especially in the case of cutting frames, given the amount of time you've been playing DE you know there is simply no exception towards cutting frames, and never in the history of DE has anyone ever thought it ok for someone to cut frames because of ncp. Not only that but the drama you had in February with multiple people accusing you of cheating (unfortunately it was one of the months my health wasn't on top so I more-or-less left the job of investigating to Craftain and fat) makes the chances of you not knowing what cutting frames are makes it even less likely. On top of the sheer amount of wrs you had makes your claim simply laughable. Lastly, how could I be sure that you didn't know it was against the rules? You refuse to cope with the fact that you're banned because you cheated, and so you want me removed as mod and have it your way.
Now for the timing: Didn't Fatty or Craftain tell you in the discord server about it? Essentially it sounds good on paper, but it'll be very difficult in practice.

If "don't bat an eye" means complaints, then sure there hasn't been much complaint, mostly because it has been either of benefit or just normal movement based timing if the ping is normal. It might changed in case Mineplex fixes this this ping problem in a few years. I'm not completely opposed to the idea of estimating at the end, it's just really impractical and I (probably others) would prefer the margin of error to be as low as possible, in the 1-15ms instead of the tens of ms or even hundreds of ms. Given how little time difference there is between runs being wr and not being wr I hope you can understand the importance. The timing system isn't perfect because of the update that came out around this year. But it's the most practical: If ping prevents you from getting to the beacon then end the timer the very frame the victory scene (area or whatever word you want to use) appears. But if it doesn't appear then normal movement timing.
I know you don't like me on a personal level and I can understand, however this isn't anything personal. Rules are rules and calling me unforgiving or uncaring, or any of the ridiculous stuff you said in the discord server like how I was being "hateful" is not going to work on me. I (and again please don't take offense to this, just my honest thoughts) strongly suggest you to move on with something more productive. You'll eventually forget about this. Being obsessed with a game (Dragon Escape of all games especially) that you cheated on is very unhealthy.

This ban will last from August 13th 2019, to August 13th 2021.
There's about 50 runs submitted (I guess 7-9 of the runs are from everyone else but Kingwiec). I've only gotten to time around 6 runs.
Why have I been so inactive? Because my health is starting to take a really bad turn for the worst (delirium, fatigue, constant fever, etc). Because of this, I'll be inactive for a little while. I'll try to time some runs here and there, but I might just look for someone to fill in for me.

I tried to ignore the Mineplex updates to the maps, I hoped I could, but I couldn't, because Mineplex wants me to pay attention to it so it could have me take time to reject the old runs. It might be sadistic.
Anyways there's (yet another) discord server that'll act as a thing to archive the old runs. So if you ever have your run rejected, please just unlist the video, you'll be doing everyone a favor in the future.

Just to give a heads up, there may be things in this update that will later be discovered, and might have to make do something about.
Anyways it seems that when it comes to timing, the change to it is leaderboard timing will overlay movement timing.
What that means is if the game ends before you hit the beacon, you'll end the timer as you did in leaderboard timing (when the first frame of the scoreboard in the chat appeared). But if that doesn't happen, end the timer in the beacon as it has always been since the igt was added.
EDIT: If the player doesn't get inside the beacon because of ping, they end the timer the first frame the victory screen appears (when it's blank).
I see no problem with spawnwalking as long as where the person goes is actually possible for someone to be spawned there by the game and they have coords on. When I get back home I'll (hopefully not forgot and actually do) make a list of coords of the front spawns that people can spawnwalk to. If anyone seems to be off they'll be penalized by what the mod sees fit.

we're gonna have to move on to Parcade, not sure how many times I'll have to say it.
1, He'd have less incentive to cheat when he was banned then any other time because there'd always be one or two people constantly on him, and if they find him cheating even when he was banned it would be a massive blow to him. I also don't think anyone cares enough about this game to cheat for a wr now.

There needs to be a DE server. Even if it starts out meh it'll at least get better as time goes on, while Mineplex's DE is certainly going to get worse as time goes on.

I have ideas that could at least temporary revive DE. It's just I'm not sure if it's worth reviving.
I think they're just doing small tweaks on all games to make them less shit for players. But the reason why it's a bad idea here is that the DE community and it only plays this now, and that's rarely.
