As mentioned in the discord I made a route for this and did a few runs, but I’d rather optimize more first. I hope someone else takes a look and sees what can be optimized further, but I think this would be a great miscellaneous category. Rules would be the same start time as usual, but you have to show all the outfits in the closet before ending not just upon last ending completed to get the outfit. As mentioned in the discord I’ll be working on an all endings run soon as well
I noticed no mention of bizhawk as allowed or not. I have that installed already, and was wondering if that would be fine.
I do think that low coin% would work great, but from the looks of it is pretty much determined which are not realistic to avoid with the controls provided, so we would already be at the low% max, and at that point it’s less about the low%. I like the premise of that style of speedrun, but I don’t feel like it works well for this game specifically.
That was a dumb mistake on my behalf. I am so used to spamming start I did so instinctively, and failed to realize the screen was not able to be read. Will redo tonight, hopefully with an improvement as well
I went to the discord and was informed to simply just not touch bettersadx and was given a link to the install guide. I applogize for sounding rather aggressive in that statement, as that’s not my intent. If you want, I highly advise just removing my old run from a few years ago. That was also done with bettersadx installed iirc. The guy I was chatting to in that run informed me that it was allowed for the use of specific mods, and that it acted as a conversion tool for steam to pc disc. If bettersadx leads to problems, would you think it would be ideal to specify that in the rules? Mods are allowed, but if there’s multiple sources of how to get to the point of installing mods it may lead to confusion. I simply didn’t know about the other installation, and have been rocking this same setup since I started speedrunning. If it affects ILs, then you can remove all of those as well, even though it doesn’t seem like it does. Those were approved but the full run wasn’t, so it should be alright, right? I would rather self report that instead of acting like that didn’t happen just to keep a run on the board.
Hello. I have reviewed the rules, and while there is nothing stating ligiitjnf mods are allowed, I still have to ask, what is with bettersadx specifically if mods are allowed? Aren’t those part of bettersadx? I have bettersadx but I was informed that’s allowed for certain things, which aligns with the rules shown. I was told saturation was an issue last submission but wasn’t told what was causing it. I went through the list of mods that are there after that and went through everything to ensure that I met the requirements. I have HD graphics enabled, and the only other things I recall being enabled are just to allow me to restart files faster (unlock all in adventure mode), and allow the memory of camera settings. I didn’t presume that to be an issue as I see lots of people playing with HD, and those camera fixes. All of that aside, I still have zero clue what is even causing the lighting. This was a raw recording so I didn’t do any rendering to it to cause this.
I know there’s a global lighting mod, but I think the mod states that it just continues the day/night cycle after adventure mode is completed. If you could please explain what I am doing wrong I want to know. Im trying so hard to get back into this and I am getting rejected for things that I can’t even seem to figure out how to work around anymore. I don’t think there is a single mod that just straight up increases the brightness/saturation
