Whilst I can see people sticking with win 7 and liking it (I am also lazy about my OS), and the idea of being as open as possible. I feel the side effects of allowing win 7 is too much. So my opinion would be option 4, with option 3 being a compromise if people want.
Reasons why: Getting windows 7 to run on newer hardware (and this becomes a bigger problem as time goes on) is challenging. With newer architectures, its going to be a huge pain for a new runner who wants to compete for a good time. We have to assume the average user isn't tech savvy enough to know how to dual boot, so whichever OS they use for general use, is also the OS they speedrun on. Forcing the users to deal with win 7 is unfair in my opinion. For example, the applications I use at my work are only compatible with win 8+. So by choosing to run our game, they are sacrificing a lot.
Lastly, the reason I think option 3 is a compromise is because it creates ambiguity over who "really" has WR. Who has the better run, the win 10 runner, or the win 7 runner? I also am guessing over time, the win 7 category will fade out leaving a dead category.
I don't run PC, only console. But I feel my opinion is relevant as it will affect newcomers to the scene and how our community grows.

Hello and thanks for your help, I figured it was an IL strat as the spread of the ballers seems really difficult to manage. I'll continue learning the traditional strat and see how I go, cheers :)
Heya, I've been slowly practising this run and realising how hard it is. One mission in particular has stumped me, I want to do the strat using the Ballers that Buruk47 does. Timestamped strat:
I guessed some of it. Looks like you wait till 30.2s on the timer and then shoot at a specific spot. However the spread on the Ballers makes this really unreliable. I realised however that as long as you get it within 3 times, its still faster to do than the traditional strat. So I figured it was worth practicing.
I have 2 issues.
- Are you using any visual queue? I kind of have a setup but its hard to tell, and due to the spread of the ballers its not 100%
- The fiber afterwards is really difficult. Most times I miss him. I am in stealth and spamming the map to try and hit him. But the window is so tight I rarely get it.
I might end up reverting to the traditional strat, I just also have problems with that when the guards decide to follow me :(

Tonight upon recording, it works absolutely fine. Either I was not judging the knife distance correctly or it was some weird FPS issues running at 120fps. Consider this topic closed, I get them in max 2 knives now :P

I unlocked the 10 bonuses raid costume for parker and tried this out, results didn't change for me. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? I also noticed he's using the same costume as the default one.
It's not a huge issue as I can do this area by picking up additional ammo. But it does make it very difficult.
Ahh, that will be it. I had no idea there was differences in costumes other than cosmetics. I'll work on getting those. Thanks for your help guys :)
Hello, Not sure what happened to my other thread, when I view it I dont see any text at all monkaS
I was starting to gain interest in this game and I looked at the number_007desu run which was done on PS4 in Japanese. On both Casual and Infernal he was able to knife the hunters as Parker to kill them. If I try this on any difficulty I do not get the same results on PC.
Am I doing something wrong or is there some differences between regions/platforms? Timestamped video as a demonstration
