Those panel always had collision. That's why we do that trick.
Also tested it on both sides, still works. Same level of difficulty as older versions
Yeah, there is an invisible button high up the wall on the left. Just stand against the left wall before the hallway opens up, look up about 60-70 degrees and spam the use button.
Welcome!
You don't need much, you just need a timer, software that captures your gameplay, and the game itself. There is no SAR compatibility for this game, so you don't need to set that up.
I would recommend getting the Wakeup save located under 'Resources' as it would make resets less tedious.
Good luck!
Gave an 'All Achievements' speedrun a go, if anyone is interested:
How exactly is it an advantage?
None of the DLC characters have any benefits that provides an advantage over base-game characters. The closest one to this would be the rapid fire exploit that Bo Katan can do, however Jango can do the same thing.
It's also worth considering that all the main speedrun categories of this game have large amounts of character restricted sections, so most of the run you wouldn't be able to switch to other characters anyway.
No. The current timing method is RTA, which means you have to keep the timer running throughout the entire run. You can't pause it for any reason.
Nice find.
To answer your second question. That would be an any% only strat since you're leaving the map boundaries
We already have leaderboards for each episode, they're all under the individual level leaderboards.
Sounds like the prequels category that already exist. https://www.speedrun.com/lswtcs?h=Prequels-PC-Solo&x=n2y7zw82-kn0j047l.810e0joq-6nj4v7jn.jqzke28q
That's all good.
If you really want a B-Spec category, submit a run via. this thread, with some proposed rules, and we can discuss this a bit more then.
Considering B-Spec events are just Auto-Scrollers, it feels as there is no point in bringing it in, as the run would just come down to how fast can you navigate through menus
Hi. Sorry about the long response. Got caught up with university stuff.
Just had a look at it and I think this would be cool. Just some things I wanna suggest:
-
Will have to either ban or make a separate category for DLC vehicles. People who bought the DLC before all the content was taken down will still have access to the DLC vehichles now. These include the free DLC vehicles, such as SCION FR-S '12, CHEVROLET CORVETTE C7 Test Prototype, and the 2014 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY Final Prototype.
-
Could possibly create two types of Any%. One for 'Ending A' and the other for 'Ending B'.
For now, I will take some feedback before I make it official.
Hi. I am new here and I am having the same issue with some of the things not appearing the same way as it appears in the guide video. For example, in the map sp_a2_garden_de, the portable surface on the floor of the main lobby is not there in my version, and I am playing on advanced mode. I understand that the game has been patched a couple of times which may relate to my issue, so I was wondering if there is any way of downgraded to an older patch? Or would I have to just try and play it the way it is?
There are a couple ways. You can record the run first and then edit a timer afterwards
Or you can purchase a video capture card, connect that to your PS4 and PC, download a brodcasting software (OBS and XSplit are popular examples), then setup the display to capture the gameplay and Livesplit.
Livesplit is a program that is only available on the PC. You can't get it on a PS4.
Yep, a lot of retiming, about 100 runs worth. Honestly, I like the idea of the new rule, but I could imagine that going through the effort of retiming all the runs would be annoying for the mods
