So looking at the board for this game as a newcomer im having trouble finding a category for the whole game. Am i missing something or is there a reason there isnt a full game run?

Edit: after watching some runs i think i see that level refers to difficulty and not just like an individual level run of a stage so im less confused now.

did you ever find an answer to this. there also isnt a board for version 1.5 and was just wondering if there was a reason these modes dont have boards.

Ok. so if i ever get around to a run im Guessing i can just submit it and it can be moved to a seperate board if needed? I also noticed there arent different boards for difficulty and you dont even list the difficulty you used. Does higher difficulty have a positive effect on run time? Or why is it done that way?

I dont see any mention of the nintendo switch version so i wasnt sure if there were seperate rules for it or if it is allowed.

Does this board accept runs or have any additional ruless from the fragrant story and papyas path game on nintendo switch? Or is that going to be a seperate board at some point? After looking into it further it looks like the runs of this game are all before an update that expanded the content of the game. So things may need to be rearranged accordingly as what used to be a full game run is now the 1st of 5 scenarios in the story

I have the same question but i own collection of saga on nintendo switch. So i guess there are no bans or rules on it yet but run it and worse comes to worse it will be a sub category?

Hi everyone. Im part of streaming discord community called Cool Kids Table and in july (2024) we are running an intro to speedrunning event where we are encouraging people to learn this game's speedrun. We are partnering with a speedrun community called board boosters for help. Just wanted to let the mods know as there might be a sudden increase in submitted runs from members of both of these communities.

UPDATE: there is a board for "search for fran 2". If you type the word "the" at the start of the title src wont find it. Hopefully this can be corrected in the future.

Well thats not great. Im hoping the board is still active. I noticed there is no chapter 2 or 3 level runs which could easily be done as part of a full run as long as you included a split for the 1st movement in chapter 2 and 3 i would think. I was thinking of running this in pride month when its typically free as ive already 100% achievement hunted it and got into speedrunning recently. Would also be curious if there is a discord or place to reach out to mods if its taking a while.

If your curious this is the first game board created by boardboosters on SRC. So if you know other games without SRC boards with a run category that can run 15 mins or less, hop in our discord and throw it in the suggestions. We also take suggestions for already present boards with low activity. The discord for this board is boardboosters which will always have categories dedicated for this game but will have sections for every game we run every 2 months.

I also see jonah was never added to the list of characters for level runs.

Since this site likes to keep games in the same series with the same moderators are there any plans for a board for the search for fran 2? I plan to run this game soon and would eventually be interested in running the 2nd one if a board for it pops up.

I see there are individual level categories but there isnt one for the optional college dungeon?

I just wanted to double check that its ok to submit runs on an original thicker ps2 model. I have the game with a ps2 to play it on but didnt see a ps2 option under what the game is being run on.

So i see a lot of any% runs do use valeria. Is this because of like attack combos that allow her to move faster, or quicker date cutsecenes? Any input on why she is the accepted best pick for speedruns? I know for the end you need at least 1 maxed out relationship character so it would make sense to use a character available in the beginning like isaac, valeria, or sunder but wanted to know if there was further reason.

Yeah. A lot of us are still learning the run but we are coming. :D
