Washington, USAIt's not that you guys are not agreeing with us. It's that we've been going circles with this. It's amazing how many times we've had to twist what we've said regarding basic facts, knowledge and dealing with people who don't even run the game in the first place.
I'm sure if I was to come into VC discussion that was regaurding something important everyone would be just as pissed considering I've only ran the game about a month and barely know my s¤¤¤.
Also it's annoying that you guys think this is a recognition thing. It's not. I'm not being modest about WR. It's legitimately s¤¤¤ ask anyone they'll tell you the same cos it's true. If someone wants to beat my time "legitimately" DO IT!! It's not hard at all. The competition would be better if someone seen how bad it actually was.
Honestly I feel if I had the worst time on the leaderboard you guys wouldn't give a f¤¤¤ about what I've even had to say. The double edged sword is too stronk!!!
Unless you know what it's like to run a game like SA please just, no.
If you want an explanation tho how legit does a category look to a "viewer" of the site if it's hidden? It doesn't look good and some of you guys don't realize the category being main influences what people "want to watch." This isn't even about just running it. It's also about the viewers, the entertainment value. What is entertaining about a hidden category nobody knows about and how does it encourage people to run it?
Let's be real here. One of the reasons people can even handle SA is because of the chat. If chat goes retard mode because they're not properly informed this is a legit category that's how you get "this is a meme category" or more importantly how you get "you can't prove your time" because people think it's a joke. Yes, I had that as well after my first run.
This is a legit argument. I seen you've been watching Tirean "Mh" and hearing all the bs about duping and how nobody wants to run it backs the facts that SA is dying and nobody is trying to do anything to revive it. I'm about to be done with this like several people have before me. I only care to run Trilogy at this point, OHKO and 100% at this point.
How often is that gonna happen? Much less than "All Missions" would and this isn't attacking "AM." That would be counterproductive. I'm just trying to make a point I have no interest in running Any% anymore and if the interest in "AM" goes down the toilet i'll have little reason/interest to run the game at all.

So I should switch to a more unstable version of the game i'm not used to? How about you can't dupe in "Steam" or "Xbox" which is "More Stable." Is that a more legit reasoning? If I recall from running VC there's different verions w/different comments. eg. PAL, EU, JPN. So is the solution to make stupid things like that to make people like me feel better about being at a disadvantage?
Speedrunning is hardly about having fun tbh. I'm competitive and have been competing against Josh's time for two years before duping. I want the best possible time I can get that is realistic, but have the competitive aspect.
Having dupes change that makes it a different story when everything, yes back to the drawing board with this one. "Was fine" before duping.
As an example GTA 3 and VC has always been broken to the point console's and or version couldn't compete such as "JPN" and replay abuse. Which I managed to reduce the gap by "actually duping" in GTA 3 to get a good time for Xbox.
SA is a different story tho. This situation has only came up recently and people have been speedrunning on equal grounds for years now and now there is an unfair advantage.
It's different when the run is longer than "Sub 5" which is still longer than most people care to run. "AM" currently isn't even "Sub 7" not that it can't be, but my point is that it's a long run.
Does that mean long runs like Trilogy should be in the misc section? "In an extreme case ofc." I don't see a difference. There's nothing misc about "AM" because nothing you do in the run is Miscellaneous.

If it counts as 10 missions done what would that mean exactly?
I'm not sure how you took my last comment, but i'm clearly saying having a s¤¤¤ time as WR gives people more reason to get competitive with it, but who's going to take a misc category seriously?
Obviously not anyone cos everyone has been calling it a meme since "I" yes, "I" first ran the category to give it some legitimacy and made a guide for it the day after and am continuing to update it. Instead I have to get annoyed with all these undefined rules and s¤¤¤. Did any of you have to run a used to be category faster than everyone else twice, have an undefined rule set and a mod verify a run as WR to a person with a slower time that could care less about the category as a whole.
I think anyone by now has already heard my rant and understands i'm salty af because I've already invested a lot of time into it and the way things turned out made it "not fun."
Of course there's the other reason which is the true reason "AM" even exists. Duping killed runs. Not everyone runs V1. I run Xbox which is similar to steam and is "more stable." I'm sure the counter argument to that would be "just run V.1." I shouldn't have to be forced into running a certain version to be compete with WR holder not that I am, but that is my point.
It was all fine before duping and now it's not. Honestly "NO DUPING" category is becoming more realistic with this argument lately then "AM," but that would obviously split the entire leaderboard considering there's very few "Duped" runs then not and I'm sure nobody wants that.

I'm pretty sure most of this is going on about my run. If I were to show you video evidence my stat's were exactly the same off a reboot would that help the situation? I looked at my vod and at the very beginning you can see my stats. I rebooted the game right now and they're exactly the same.
I've done this on Xbox many times. Interesting to see that using burglary can actually dupe a mission.
In regaurds to my run I'll admit I was resetting Any% for 4 and a half hours before switching to "AM", but the runs never got out of LS, never saved the game and the fat/muscle didn't impact anything to change the run.
I manually got my fat up at "Burger Shot" twice, one in LS and one in LV. I also did two gym sessions for "Key to her heart" one in SF and other in LV.
As of now there is a new strat that is a lot faster by not having fat/muscle so as of now that wouldn't have improved the run in any way in that perspective.
As Cyber said "No rules have been defined" this is because there was no category before any of our runs. I had the "You should know this already" from a lot of people about things I could've prevented in the run, but not having a category with set rules doesn't help the situation. Since it's the very first run and a terrible one at that I don't see the need to reject it and instead add clarification to the rules for next time since I really didn't do anything to modify the run and having an empty category w/finished runs doesn't make any sense. Also wasting 8hrs trying to get a category on the leaderboards isn't all that fun.
The point of "All Missions" was to add a balanced category as an alternative to duping without adding dupeless and make it the same run w/out dupes and split the leaderboard.
If it's located in misc the run won't be taken seriously eg. nobody will run it more than once.

"All Missions" is basically Any% with a little added on to it and really what Zoton calls it. "All Story Missions" because we do nothing miscellaneous in the run only optional storyline missions.
So you have to wait for the calls after Bistro? If so then my strat would be to get out of the plane on mission passed, answer first call, fly to casino, answer second call, get body armor I guess and then answer final call to start Breaking the bank.
Waiting for "Breaking the bank" call could be faster instead of going to Bistro tbh because you should only get one call which should only take 15sec rather than waiting for two. Which would make the final bit

This is gonna be a long list. Normal Any% means "before" the new routes.

What would be your solution to getting the Final Heist mission marker if at the end of SMB LV calls are pushed back or would you just wait it out?
