@Crimson0verlord it's actually quite hard to splice an MK8DX run thanks to the CPU. You'd have to splice together races where the CPU are the same characters with the same combos, starting in the same position and having the same points... which would be a bit of a nightmare lol
Video proof is under 5 seconds for Blue Yourself custom items. As your time on the leaderboard was over 5 seconds, the video proof was not required, meaning that not having the VS Race settings was ok. Your rejected time was under 5 seconds, aka it required full video proof (full video proof needs VS race settings).
Hey y'all, just making this post after the influx of "WRs" after the new custom items update. Currently we are not allowing Blue Yourself runs to be done on custom items. The rules have not been yet updated to reflect this, but in the meantime please do not submit Blue Yourself runs done on the custom items ruleset. Custom Items will be its own catex when the time comes, and Blue Yourself may be a part of that - that's up to the mod team to decide. In the meantime, if you want to suggest catex ideas, feel free to join our community discord to discuss it :) Btw none of you have WR, Akhos has 4.6 xD

Phone camera works fine for recordings. if you want a better quality recording, you'll need to invest in a capture card, and have a PC that can handle it - the capture card should come with all the cables. If you want a timer on the recording you'll need to use third party recording software such as OBS, but you don't need to have that - you can always retime afterwards, and the mods check the timing anyway.
Site/game are definitely not dead - the verifiers have lives as well, be patient, they will get approved
Really depends on your level - if you are at quite a low level, really not that much. If you are mid/high, it's definitely worth it to make the switch. Can't give you a number, mainly depends on your skill. Also how much time you save depends on which combo you're using at the moment.
