I was wondering if there was any plans to add Beanball categories to this game. The runs would be shorter, but the dynamics would be much more interesting, as you can pick different characters and use different strats.

I'd definitely be willing to submit these sort of runs.

I imagine it would add a little variety and strategy to the categories. World Tour is pretty straight forward and relies heavily on "luck", especially the India match. For extra fun (and longer times), there could also be a "No Super" category. Imagine SDB taking over an hour, even on Easy or Normal.

ouch that would be fun and frustrating :) I wish I had this on actual console (I did as a kid...) the EMU version crashes JNES about 25% of the time usually in Russia or Shadow.

Well, no super category would be akin to playing the Japanese version of SDB, onto which power shots can only be done at the 7th dash step, as opposed to the US version in which power shots can be done from the 3rd/4th (3rd on easy, 4th on normal and difficult) to the 7th.

Also, I would like to remind the mods of this suggestion, as I have not heard anything official about it. One extra field you could add on Bean Ball categories would be a character field, as you can select any character from the usual US team.
