It could be possible to do this in XR591.. it already has some questionable checkpoint triggers. Just have to do some testing.
I tried doing the green Valley skip in 0.9.3-rc1 but it seems like that specific patch has been patched because there's kill planes and invisible walls everywhere there now. The finish line has also been shortened.
Sadly no, it's faster to cut the grass. Though that's a way to do the cut without river hopping in case the river hop gets fixed.
Oh, I just noticed that. Nice of you to point that out or I would have missed it, since I wanted to see one lap and compare it. Nor did I know there was version differences.
Well the main thing is I play the latest version, so I wanted to see if one lap using your method was faster or slower in 0.9.3 and it wasn't. Though if the grass is slower in earlier versions, then yes cutting through the grass might be slower. But I don't have your version so I can't really test that.
UbuntuJackson, your skip actually does contribute much more speed to the times on both versions. I devised a strategy for 0.9.3 using a combination of both yours and Kitokofox's strategies (plus a little bit of my flavour on top just for a little extra zestiness) It might be possible to do a short hop over the larger part of the river, to enable a better drift over the "finish line" which seems to be attatched to the farthest little bush from the post.
I know I can get it. I just haven't been bothered to go get it as of late because I prefer 0.9.3 is all. I was being honest about not having your version still. But I will consider getting 0.8.1 sometime soon I guess.
