(2023) Route Notes - 100 Stamp - Any% NMG

This year as a personal challenge/project I took a close look at both 100 Stamp and Any% NMG and tried my best to find the fastest route that I could for both categories.

I have documented my route notes for both categories in separate pastebins which you can find below. I hope these act as useful guides for those thinking about speedrunning this game!

(2025) Route Notes - Any% - Any% NMG (MyCity-less)

Here I have documented my full route notes for Any% NMG using the MyCity-less route. It's faster and has an easier roulette, but at the cost of a riskier WGP.

I have also documented some route notes for Any%. Some of it can be hard to follow by text, so I recommend checking out some runs for a better understanding.

Bodies% Text Guide (UNOFFICIAL CATEGORY)

The hardest thing about this category is that you need to pick up 40 choro Q coins before you finish Q's Rally

-Immediately head to Papaya start trade side quest along the way, 
       grab any coins you can find AND visit peach town body shop

-Grab message in a bottle from papaya south shore, visit body shop, give bottle to minerva, do jet boosters side quest

-Warp to peachtown and start the world journey
       Grab coins and gem by island bridge
  
-Continue through fuji visiting body shop along the way
      Collect coins as you pass

-Travel under highway towards sandpolis to collect coins but stop in My City and talk to real estate guy

-Continue on to Sand Polis, trade the card (Tall building across from roulette) and talk to akiban
      Head to body shop and *THEN* to Q's Factory to save game

-Win max bet Roulette 2X, Since we saved you can reset as needed

-Warp to Papaya and upgrade parts. *Save $65,000 for bodies*

-Warp back to sandpolis and continue under the highway towards chestnut canyon
     Also collect the gem on top of pyramid (reverse wall climb)

-Warp to sanpolis again and finally continue on to chestnut NO BODY SHOP HERE
     Visit Q shop and trade pretty doll with roaming pink semi

-continue on to mushroom road Q factory NO BODY SHOP HERE and the continue on to white mountain
    Collect coins along the way

-Visit Q's factory, body shop, Merrin (top of hill), Lettar (accross from qfactory)
    Collect Gemstone from behind ski hill, Visit Police Man!!
    Get coin radar from rich guy. (8361) - This will help you to collect enough coins

-Warp back to white mtn and travel above the tunnel (Faster to go above the tunnel than to follow it) to underwater temple
    Collect gemstone on top and talk to ghost bus

-Warp to peach town talk to Gonzo (Q - Roaming spawn area), and Ramsey (Roaming in grass), and Joucette (In house), and Klein (Roaming in grass)

-Warp to fuji. Trade with actor, talk to brian (Fire truck) and Coine (Roaming at end of Fuji).

-Warp to Sandpolis and talk to lighthouse guy ALSO collect the gem underwater

-Warp to white Mtn. Talk to Merrin, and Lettar and cop, and trade with roaming SUV for Rice ball

-Warp to my city and visit Qfactory. 
   Start Qs Ralley
-Talk to akiban as you pass through sandpolis to chestnut
-continue through chestnut to white mtn and through to peach town collecting coins along the way
    *Talk to klein or ramsey if you missed them before*
-continue on to fuji collecting all coins
     *Talk to coine, brian if you missed them before*
**Goal is to have 40 coins by the end of Qs rally**

-Return to My City Qfactory, wake up brian, trade 40 coins to coine and win tunnel race

-warp to papaya and skip to cloud hill. Visit body shop, qfactory and hobo and answer the duck's questions. (3, Nanaha, Green)

-warp back to papaya. Trade with ugly car on south island, collect gem on outskirts of papaya (end of the 1st river where it waterfalls off the island)

-warp to mushroom and collect gem east in river (I usually go on top of the hill and boost to try to land on it basically... Very annoying)

-warp to peach town to finish trade quest and gem quest

-warp to my city and buy all the bodies

-warp to cloud hill *equip racing wheels*, SAVE and do the president skip.

-If the game doesnt crash, sit through the credits and perform president skip again to get secretary body.

Roulette Guide

Roulette sucks. Plain and simple. Sometimes the wheel will spin slower than normal so you'll have to improvise/wing your timing. But if it's going at the normal, FAST speed, here are a couple visual and timing queues I and other runners use to get roulette about a third of the time (WHICH IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD).

BETTING ON 16
This is the strat that WR holder Konasumi uses. After betting on 16, accelerate and rocket boost as the double green 0s pass the car.

BETTING ON 3
If you're betting on 3, like me and basically only me, accelerate and rocket boost as soon as the single green 0 goes fully off the screen to the right.

MAKING YOUR OWN
Hey you can do that if you want. I don't know why you'd wanna spend more time on roulette than you need to, but you can.

Again, the roulette wheel can be very inconsistent with speed, so you might have to adjust your timing a bit if you can tell that it's spinning slower than normal. If not, just grind runs until you get good rng :^) gl

Theres a bit of flexibility with doing some of the time based stamps AND NTSC not getting as much money from the coconut shop so you'll have to make some judgement calls but otherwise I think the notes are pretty thorough.

once again thank you to Frant for kicking ass with that PAL time and coming up with this route you're a bit of a genius and sub 3:30 wouldn't have been possible without you lol

Version Information / Differences

Japanese (Choro Q HG2)

- Cars behave more inconsistently than any of the other versions. This has a negative impact.
- You have to recruit two more people for My City. This has a negative impact.
- Peach FM is removed. This is the worst difference.

American (Road Trip)

- Fastest version.

European (Road Trip Adventure)

- Never use this version. This version suffers from slowdown due to 50FPS.

Korean (Choro Q Road Trip)

- Unknown.

With the help of some feedback we have made some updates to the leaderboards.

- Added ”Any% (No Major Glitches)" category. This prohibits president skip and lap glitches. In other words, it is a category where you must do the race correctly to win the World Grand Prix.
