I've tried like, 10 times to make the truck die this fast again. Anyone know how the hell I did it? I did the same thing in the video but no luck. RNG, killing the right guys? S'go.
Was it a good run before that or not? Did you missed a lot of shots, got hit... That could have made it easier, but well this is fast. Maybe you've just donne a critical hit on the side of the truck Kappa

So far there's nothing I concluded that would explain how this is possible... But stuff like this needs to be debunked... for speedrunning's sake.
As far as I can tell, this can only happen on new gen (XB1 is what I was on) Not sure about PS4 as I do not own one but I assume it would still work. I tried on Steam 30 and 60 as well as 360. We've made it happen a few times on XB1.
Worse then that, if you slow the video down enough, you see the truck explodes even before you hit the red canister...
[EDIT] awww, I see. So no luck for us PC versions.
It's not known if a one cycle is possible. A friend said he did it with a friend on LAN. Not sure if possible until I see it with my own eyes. If one cycle isn't, then PC/old gen are still best for 2-3
I've done it several times (on PS4) and haven't quite figured it out 100%. It involves shooting that back barrel, and I strongly suspect it also involves killing that majini with the dynamite - not sure if the dynamite explosion damages the truck, but I'm pretty sure that everytime I've done it we've always set the dynamite guy off.
I could be wrong, but this is what I believe happens:
It involves blowing up the back barrel at a specific time when the majini out of screen with pipe bombs is near it, so when the barrel explodes, it kills him, and sets off the pipe bombs on him. Along with sheva always shooting the truck, that is what makes it fast. I have been able to replicate almost an identical time of Snow (within 100 milliseconds), and this is what makes sense to me.
EDIT
I've noticed in every single successful attempt at this fast truck, the majini beside the barrel has spun upwards, and while he's in mid air, the barrel is blown up.
I also noticed a glimpse of a floating/invisible majini right behind the majini we kill in front of the barrel while I was doing my tests, but only once and have not been able to make him appear again. Maybe it has something to do with him?
