Start Up Boost: Accelerating at the very beginning at the right time gives a small boost. The boost window in the countdown is at the end of 2, before the beginning of 1.

Bike Speeds: At the moment, White Lightning seems to be the fastest bike. I've tested a few others but I'm not exactly sure how to unlock some of them. Once I figure that out I will test all of the bikes and edit this guide. It's also possible that different bikes are better for different stages and different cc.

Boost Optimization: In my testing, it usually seems faster to save your boost for landing after a jump, not boosting into the jump. Using boosts after turns also keeps speed high. Another useful time to use boost is right before you are empty and about to run through some cones. Constant usage of boost is vital for s p e e d .

Ramp Optimization: Boosting off of a ramp can lead to extreme height which is slow. It seems better to not boost off of a ramp and to try to land as soon as possible. Pushing forward on the thumbstick makes your character fall faster, which in turn allows you to boost sooner. This could change depending on the jump and I have not tested with a timer yet, but it seems to be faster to me. TLDR; Height bad, speed good.

Stoppie Oddity: If you ever find yourself on the nose of your bike and unable to do anything until a full stop is completed, hit the boost button. This works with or without boost, for some reason.

Cones not working: If you hit a cone without activating it and then try to go back through it to gain its meter, it will not work until you go back through it another time, or get some meter from a different set of cones.

Shield is the best Weapon: There's a bunch of weapons in the game, however none of them actually matter other than the shield, especially for more compact courses like the Parking Lot and Fantasy Ranch. It can be used defensively (Fantasy Ranch, since it is very long and has tons of opportunities for the NPCs to use weapons) and offensively (at the start of some rounds to push through NPCs, like Backyard Track and Parking Lot, also during the round of Parking Lot). I generally try to keep my weapon selector on Shield by pressing the white and black buttons in case I need to barrel through someone or see a dynamite or zapper.

Drifting Cooldown: My least favorite thing about this game besides getting stuck on a wall. After performing a drift, there seems to be a "cooldown" of sorts that prevents you from drifting again. This "cooldown" might actually have something to do with turning itself or drift speed and not a time amount, but more testing needs to be done. You can see this in action at at 17:56. As I was turning right after the bushes on the left, I was unable to perform another drift until the very last second.
