In the Genesis version, isn't it faster to rescue the mad doctor mickey instead of fighting the boss? Or do you still have to fight it even if you get the mickey?

I believe you still have to fight the boss. I’m not 100% certain but I’m pretty sure that’s the case.

I know you still have to fight the boss on PS and SNES; I believe you also have to fight him on Genesis.
