That room 1 up-warp is pretty bungo, so Zeddys decided to just go for the Any% jump instead. Turns out Enemy Radio Operator (or any revolver character) is optimal for the boss fight as they can destroy the boat the quickest. If you use Bazooka Trooper the boss fight stops working. Good enough.
