EDIT 2: Nevermind I'm still losing time due to loads, seems like an issue with my pc bleh.
EDIT: Found 1.0, it is literally just faster, maybe missing a text box or something. Times exactly the same as WR for me. Still worth considering removing loads for people with slow computers, but everyone should be on 1.0 it seems.
I noticed when adding a WR video for comparison to my runs, that Zibang's load times are significantly faster. As I approach better times, this brings concern with the way the game is timed. Many speedrun communities remove load times for this very reason. I am running on an i7 with an nvidia 740 with 8GB of ram on win 10. The game should not be bottle-necked by my setup, though it is through much testing.
Perhaps, though, it is as simple as running 1.0 vs 1.2 which I am on, as the WR doesn't list copyright info or version, so I assume it is 1.0.
Perhaps Zibang has some more information on how his game runs so fast, would like to hear more about this. Linux/Mac maybe? (I believe Linux due to the cursor)
Also, its likely very possible to write and auto splitter for livesplit to remove loads to avoid this, and loads could be manually removed when brought to dispute.
This is rather important to address for this game to be taken seriously as a speedrun, in my opinion.
We have considered this before but Huniepop is such a simple game that any people with a computer from the last 5 years should have the same loads, at least using 1.0. Sure you can make a loadless timer yourself, then we can reconsider and look at the options. What do you use for mashing? That is usually a much bigger timeloss for people than loads. We allow everything for mashing that is not a turbo or a macro, for example mapping mouse1 to several other keys using joytokey.
Also I have no clue about Linux and Mac. I know there was one person who did one run on Mac but that doesnt really help. Also if your load times are slower on Win10, seems pretty weird. I'm on 8.1 myself.
