Speedrun (high-speed passage) Endless Space

  1. Preparation for the race.
  • Programs for counting time-desirable, but the race will be counted if the timing of parallel time will be absent (in this case, it is necessary to specify the start time of the race and the time of its end). • Due to the lack of automatic timekeeping in the game client – the stopwatch turns on and off in manual mode (for example, by pressing a button).
  • The information on the stopwatch should correspond to reality (if you run in the category Score%, then the category on the stopwatch should be designated as Score%).
  • Races can be made on the classic version of Endless Space, and DLC-Disharmony.
  • Modifications and other changes to the game client are prohibited in any form.
  • TAS and other types of automatic passing are prohibited. The race must be run exclusively by the runner (a creature falling under the General legal and biological concept of " Man”, if you like).
  • Macros are allowed in the form of replacing (emulating) interface buttons-input device buttons (such as "end of stroke" and the like). At the same time, combinations of interface buttons are prohibited (one macro corresponds to one interface button). Double-clicking a button on the input device is allowed (but it is no longer possible). If, due to double-clicking, the same interface button was pressed twice – this is permissible. Be sure to attach to the race or send the moderator-the code of this macro, indicating the program in which it is used.
  • No more than two macros per race.
  • Custom fractions are allowed.
  • Allowed joint race, but it must participate no more than two real players (it is desirable to specify the nickname of the player who helped you). • Change the settings of the game world possible. • The original presets of the world (seeds) is prohibited. Any race should be started from the very beginning (from the world settings window). The seed value must be random, that is, equal to '0'.
  • Restarts are allowed. • Record and use a save – allowed but only within the current attempts and while the timer is running (i.e., you can't use preservation if they were not recorded during the current attempt (just try, not race, can not be saved while you run, reset the timer and boot from save)).
  1. Start of the race The countdown begins from the moment of the first action. These actions are: • Commissioning of turn.
  • Add an upgrade / ship to the build queue. • Changes in the level of tax.
  • Creation, dissolution or disposal of the fleet.
  • Any order to the fleet (movement, attack and so on).
  • The beginning of the battle fleet (that is, the countdown will also begin as soon as you click on any button to start the battle ("Auto" and "manual"”).
  • Hiring a hero.
  • Create a research queue.
  • Creating a fleet project, i.e. pressing the "Create" button (historically this rule).
  • Any diplomatic action (even the choice of an item on the negotiation screen is an action (for example: you chose the item “Declare war” and as soon as you clicked on it-the race began)). Viewing information about the Empire is not an action.
  • Send messages to in-game chat (use voice chat, co-op lovers). • The appointment or removal of management of the system of artificial intelligence.
  1. The end of the race.
  • Timing ends/segment closes with a victory notification (a pop-up window where the word “victory " is written and its type is indicated). Not to be confused with notification of approaching victory. • In the case of categories where you want to achieve multiple victories-it is necessary for each victory to receive at least one notification of the victory, indicating this victory. The timing of such categories ends as soon as all the necessary wins and conditions have been met.
  • Victory and additional conditions must match the declared category. Otherwise, the race will not be counted. If an error has occurred and something has not been completed, the runner has the right to load the save, fulfill additional race conditions (if any), get the win, and complete the race. But only under the condition that the stopwatch was not stopped.
  1. Subsequent action.
  • The runner, if he wishes, can publish his result on the website speedrun.com, in the section of this game.
  • When publishing, the runner must attach an accessible and legible video confirmation of his result, fill in all the lines correctly. In the description of the race, you must attach all the macros used (or tell how the moderator can check them, if you do not want to publish your code or file with it). • After checking the correctness of the filled information by the runner-sending to moderation takes place.
  1. Categories At the moment there are several categories:
  • Supremacy% - military victory.
  • Score% - win on points.
  • Wonder% - a wonderful victory.
  • Diplomatic% - diplomatic victory.
  • Economic% - economic victory.
  • Scientific% - scientific victory.
  • Expansion% - territorial victory.
  • 100% - getting all of the above wins.
  • Endless_day-fulfillment of conditions for achieving Endless Day
  • Allians_COOP% - a joint game of two runners, in which you need to create an Alliance and complete the game with a victory (while in the Alliance). • Death% - to achieve the defeat of their Empire (without having to exit the game)
  1. Moderation and other organizational aspects.
  • The moderator is a person who has the appropriate status on the site speedrun.com
  • Moderator can be an active member of the gaming community (who knows these rules) and / or included in the top positions of the rating (also knows these rules). At its desire and absence of any weighty negative reasons-to it the corresponding status is issued. • Moderators are required to check the races on compliance with the rules.
  • Rules must be available to everyone (meaning that everyone has access to these rules). Runners must abide by these rules. • If some part of these rules – lost relevance, useless or simply not needed – there is a change in the rules. Once the rules have been changed, the previous ones lose their relevance. • If the change in the rules significantly affects any category, all affected categories are placed in separate categories (in these categories, the previous rules continue to apply).
  • The history of rule changes is made separately, and everyone has access to this history.
  • At the same time as these rules-the rules in the categories apply. Rules in categories-more important than this set of rules (in case of disagreement between these rules)
  • Questions and protests can be sue on forum game, ask moderators, write on-goloviznin.danya@yandex.ru (phonograf mail (no spam, please)).
