Hey, idk if any of this sort of thing has been discovered yet in the game but I've been playing around with some glitches recently. Here's a video about it.

Not sure why I felt compelled to talk about it when I haven't found an application in the speedrun yet, but I'm learning something new about this stuff every day so hopefully it will become relevant soon.

I was aware that certain spots would let you stand in positions that made no-clipping a thing by default like the hostess thing, but because the game is so heavily scripted in terms of what events are allowed to happen and when, likely the only thing you could do with it is get between point A and B in a specific spot a little faster. I never really played around with it much tbh.

Well, what happens in Shangrila seems to imply that it will work fine, the problem is that after the pre-rendered bus cutscene, it tried to put you back on the map you were previously on s othat it can do in-engine dialogue. Since we didn't enter Shangrila through the door, it still thinks we're on the overworld, and puts us in the correct spot (Shangrila's interior is in the center of the map once loaded in) but with the wrong map loaded in. That's not an issue with rigid script execution order as much as it is other things.

A few days ago I was poking around in the scripts themselves and unfortunately the only one that isn't compiled bytecode somehow is about the overall flow of the game, sort of like a directory of what order every event happens in. It points to the location of each actual script but I can't read those, so it doesn't help.

Are you aware of any other spots? Anything accessible pre-chapter 7 has got potential.
