It would hardly be viable anywhere, yes. I think the sublevels would be a good example of multiplayer optimization. |

I think we would be better off not dependong in the impact, if it's not too much, we would just use the difficulty that is most optimal. |

To be honest Multiplayer ILs dont really seem to feasible for a leaderboard, there isn't any purpose in having 2 players. |

Forum: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Thread: Emulator known as lsnes? Started by: xxezrabxxxxxezrabxxx |
There is a emulator called "lsnes". It uses BSNES as a core, so I am assuming it would be allowed as a front end, sort of like BizHawk. It is also the only other emu besides BizHawk allowed for submission at tasvideos. |

We were already aware of this. Most of the discussion is going on over at the Discord server. The main 2 consensus are is that they will be put as a seperate category on the main board, and the other is an outright ban and only put in misc/category extensions Personally I agree with the latter, because I wouldn't even take it as a serious category when you are allowed to be overpowered like that. We are talking invincibility cat suits, it isn't just a crutch, its basically free, the only major timeloss is just dying. |

First thing is your going to want to use a original NES and cart or an emulator (FCEUX, BizHawk, Nestopia are all acceptable emulators). This is because the NES runs at a little bit higher than 60fps (60.09 approx.) 1. Your first goal should be to get sub-5, do that, it's a good accomplishment but that's only the beginning for 4:55 2. You need to learn all the tricks: Flagpole glitch, 1-2 pipe clip, 420 blazit clip, 8-2 bbg (the one that saves the extra framerule), 8-3, and the other levels 3. Practice for hours. This is how your gonna get good at the game. It's how everybody does. The more you practice, the better you get. Use the practice rom if you wish, as it will help you out with the tricks. 4. Do attempts everyday, for hours. Do it on your free time, make sure you do not pass up priorities such as work or school. It will take lots of practice and attempts to get to 4:55, but if you are sure you can do it, you can. Don't be too excited, but you should stay motivated. If you are losing your motivation, you can take a break, and return to the grind when you wish. |

FCEUX is a pretty stable emulator, it might not hold up to some others such as Nestopia, but it all depends on your PC, FCEUX doesn't lag for me a bit. |

No need, just click browse in the Lua Script Console and then navigate to where you store the script. |

Can we add FCEUX which is a good low-end emulator (better for slower computers), it's unlike FCEU which is a older emulator, this one is a newer edition. Most NES leaderboards already allow it aswell. |

You can get any capture card, like a AverMedia or a Elgato. If the one you get is only HDMI get a HDMI/Component/RGB converter |

Forum: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Thread: I think the video proof requirements should be way stricter Started by: xxezrabxxxxxezrabxxx |
Personally, I think all runs should require video. But atleast make runs that are below 1:35 require video. 1:25 is 4 mins off the wr in a hour and a half long speedrun. I bet 30% of these runs are fake. |
