it is sad to see that this game as of now is quite dead when in comes to speedrunning (and therefor in general it seems).
So, since this game has a lot to offer regarding speedrunning, and many things were left unoptimized, I have planned the following:

I will try to add the ominous single level runs. This is long overdue and I apologize greatly for that (Sorry anemptybox!). This game sees like it is made to be run like this, since either strats are way too risky to be in a whole any% run or they are hella safe. I'll provide them within the next week. I opt to keep them single levels and not episodes as Ch0wW suggested, can be changed in the future.

I want the XIII Discord to return. It was created at a time when I was not with this game anymore, I would've loved to help with a new segmented run or sharing some of my never released strats to the outside world.
There is a catch tho.
We need people. We need runners. The last record was held a year ago, several were two or more years ago, and with good reason. Competition is inexistent. But look at the Goldeneye Speedrunning Community, which originated 1999 and is still to this day alive and well, and those two games have a lot in common. What reason is there to drop this masterpiece of a game?

Biggest problem I see with this game is way to find it, gog doesn't have it (deleted for some reason), steam doesn't own it either.
The accessability sure is the biggest problem yeah. You can get it on amazon new for 50€ (jeez) or used for 13€. And that seems to be the only way you can get it nowadays.
This game is very plentiful on the uk amazon for pc version here but there were other versions too but pal so probably slow I did check ebay and a lot of copy's on there too again uk ebay.
I don't know if this helps give you guys some hope :) in all honesty I have no intentions of speed running or playing this game as it isn't my thing but I thought showing people it can still be bought might help get more people in to it hopefully :)
Are the game cube, ps2 and xbox versions of the game slow or something ? :) I may not want to play but I love finding out about games and helping people. also from looking around it looks like it used to be on GOG but got removed people said due to licensing or something so I doubt it will pop up on GOG or steam again sadly. but hope is still there :D I hope you guys get lots of new runners for this game ^_^ good luck and I am sorry if you want me to remove this post I can :)
All versions are the same, but aiming and moving with a controller as precisely as with mouse and keyboard in FPS is generally a hard task. Nevertheless, all versions, no matter the country, should be the exact same. Language is easily changable.
But no nice words are always appreciated. Hope is indeed not lost. Far from it. ^^
Makes sense :) thanks for answering my question haha I always put controls in the back of my mind so I never thought of it. :) I feel like this game is still open enough that its still quite addressable and it's not as optimised so theres areas to improve, which is quite fun. :)
