This guide will provide you with information on how to do strats, skips, and some technical stuff. It will go over basic things to more advanced information. While this guide is not meant to be super in-depth it should still give enough to still make it very resourceful. If you believe something should be added or changed please contact Dangerless.

Every time you leave a level the game will check for your memory card then proceed to ask you about saving. Not having a memory wastes nearly FIVE seconds every single time you leave a level.

How does the 3.8 fish glitch work in Shivering Mountains?

http://i.imgur.com/EvBJlem.png

Stand a little above the shadow on the ground from the Angler Manglers light source and do a piledrive of 3.8! You will know you got it when there is nonstop dinging sounds and damaging animations. Take note though, pressing B or R button will cause the glitch to NOT work any longer afterwards, you'll have to do it over again and try again. Also if the piledrive is lower or higher than 3.8 the glitch will not occur either.

How does early clip in to the boss work?
http://i.imgur.com/S8ZwMjS.png This one is a bit tricky to explain but not too hard to do, you need to be standing on the "corner" of the platform. This spot is specific and may take some practice but it's worth noting that if you can't clip in right away, you can get shoved through by ground pounding under the last red jewel getting placed on the platform as a backup.

How does Super Jump work?
This one will require A LOT of practice and getting used to, I will say this now that depending on your input delay the timing will vary. Super Jump activates on the seventh frame (it is a perfect frame trick) of pressing the R button and you'll want to use the pause button as a means to buffer that one frame. Then afterwards you have around a three frame window that determines the height of the Super Jump. Use the information below to get an idea of how to do it exactly and what your looking for.

 1. Press R, Then press A+Start on this frame: http://imgur.com/eY6TKAI
 2. As soon as you unpause and resume the game you need to PRESS AND HOLD A.
 3. Being early will NOT work: http://imgur.com/ku4hIM7
 4. Being late will NOT work: http://imgur.com/1BchUlO

Super Jumps are possible unbuffered although they generally aren't worth it because they aren't reliable when you need height out of the Super Jump.

Obtaining Boss Medal/World Keys Early

http://i.imgur.com/mumfjCL.png

This is pretty simple, you need to just wait for the Boss Medal to appear on the screen after defeating the boss then press start and leave the level. The game will save the progress of obtaining the Boss Medal once it's obtained automatically and there's no reason to wait out the cut-scene that plays afterwards. However there is one boss in the game that will delay giving you the Boss Medal early when you defeat it which is Mean Emcee in Mirror Mansion. This boss will not give you the Boss Medal until he explodes.

http://i.imgur.com/QeUHkFY.png

The World Keys are a little bit different since nothing will appear on the screen. When you kill the World Boss, they will give you the key ahead of time early when they scream you can check this by pressing Start. Similar to the issue with Mean Emcee in Mirror Mansion, Red-Briefs J is the world boss in world 3 and he also has a minor delay in giving you the World Key. Be careful not to leave early or you'll have to re-fight the boss over again.

What benefit does Punch Jumping give?

Punch Jumping is done by press R then B+A together. The momentum given to you from the dash is carried over when you use this so that means you can cover more ground while in the air and be able to reach unreachable ledges.

An example of this

How does speed hopping work?

Speed hopping (more known as bunny hopping sort-of) in this game is when you Dash Jump and as you land on the first frame you immediately press and hold A in the direction Wario is going. This will for some reason carry over not only the momentum of the Dash Jump but gain minor speed off of slopes as well. Given this is more purely situational but it has it's uses in levels such as Shivering Mountains and Beanstalk Way. It's also worth to mention that you cannot continue to keep landing and jumping to maintain the speed unless it's consistently off of slopes and not flat ground.

What's up with the pole skip?

In the first level of the game (Greenhorn Forest) it's possible to skip the poles completely without using Super Jump. The problem with this strat is that it requires getting momentum out of the Dash Jump which is based on which frame you are at during his Dash and you'll need just a little bit of positioning so you don't tag the wall. I consider this strat 50/50 because getting momentum isn't consistent, however in the picture you'll want to Dash Jump off of the red circle spot and if you do get the momentum out of the Dash Jump you'll be able to land on the log nearby. I recommend practicing the timing to press A to jump once you land as you'll notice the more runs you do, you'll notice that like I had mentioned that you'll just either not reach the log or sometimes when you do, Wario will slide off of it when he attempts to land.

Wonky Circus - Gate Skip #1

The first gate skip isn't so bad, while it is possible to skip it without the use of Super Jump, it's difficult and can be very time consuming. Let's hop right into it and position yourself about here;

http://i.imgur.com/86lcarz.png

Now do a Super Jump to get up on the tent! Now comes the tricky part because you aren't suppose to be up there and you will be forced to slide back down. You need to do two dash jumps just remember that you don't have much time to do dash jumps and need to react quickly like so;

http://i.imgur.com/1DHDsaA.png

Now for the last one, you can just use the slide from the tent to give you a bit of a boost of speed and normal jump up towards the sub-level. You'll be well pass the gate barrier at this point.

Wonky Circus - Gate Skip #2

The first gate is simple enough to skip with a Super Jump but the second one is more complicated. Unlike the first gate in the level, you have to be in a VERY specific spot in order to skip it. There are TWO invisible barriers, however what your going to do is slip between both of them. Take a look at the image below;

http://i.imgur.com/3L4QYj0.png

You need to be about there in the picture and I recommend using the L button to make sure Wario is facing DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT! This is very important because if Wario isn't facing the correct direction you won't be slipping between these invisible barriers. Next I hope you have been practicing getting those good Super Jumps because you'll need it here so no pressure!

http://i.imgur.com/Xqreo3l.png

If your Super Jump was pretty good this should be the result more or less. The red line in the picture is about where invisible wall ends and Wario will kinda roll off of it getting past the gate.
