1-60 Heirlooms category?

I would be interested in running this category, ive tried it a looong time ago on a mage and did it in 12 hours. Im sure i could knock that down a lot though.

Im interested to see what you guys think about this.

I think this would be a neat run to have. As long as it followed the rules for 1-20 heirlooms, this should be fine. I'm not sure when flying is unlocked anymore (I think it's 58? or maybe that's when you can first go to outlands, or possibly both). If you want, you can join the discord and we can get the rules figured out, otherwise I'll let cdg chime in on what needs to be changed rules-wise.

As far as I'm concerned, the addition of the category (and even others similar to it, ie 1-70/1-80/1-90) all sound like decent categories to add to the board, if someone wanted to do a 1-90 heirlooms run, they could technically checkpoint their run at each respective point prior (ie 60/70) and have multiple runs just from 1, 1-90 completion.

Level 1 to 60 (Heirlooms) Level 1 to 70 (Heirlooms) Level 1 to 80 (Heirlooms) and Level 1 to 90 (Heirlooms)

Could be added to the board, as main categories under the all dungeons categories. Adding the rest of these categories allows (someone, potentially insane) to go ahead and also bottleneck an entire run, 1-110, into a complete submission for all leveling categories (given, they follow the rules, ofc.)

Lmk if this sounds like a reasonable option. =)

Also, if need be, the "Potion" and "No Potion" modifiers can also be carried over, so that someone who chooses to just splurge-level their character with potions (who may have farmed, or has quite a bit of gold) can't just trample over someone's time who chose not to use potions, also shows the differential amount of time one saves/loses over the other.

In terms of the 1 to 60 and above category's, what would the policy be for pausing, because they are long runs and pauses might need to happen, you never know. And also what about flying?

I don't think i have ever seen a speedrun where pauses where counted out :D And flying should be okay, with the gold you can send yourself from your other char etc. Only in "no heirloom" you really wouldnt have the gold to buy flying

Generally, all the wow runs are considered RTA (real time attack), which means you count the real time it takes to finish the run. If that means going to the bathroom, getting food, or just stretches, they need to be planned in advance and take advantage of down times in the run. For an example, you can look up 0xa101s animal crossing 100% in 70 hours, in which she goes to sleep and leaves the stream and timer running, or if you can find it, my 1-100 no heirlooms run that I did in 115 hours (the vod was deleted off twitch and I don't remember uploading it anywhere else). I planned out in my run when I would have time to go take care of real life things, like long flight paths, or when I knew a dungeon que would be long, or when I am in an escort quest that I can toggle walk and auto run, and when I get back I'll be at the end of the quest.

TL;DR: It will be an RTA, single segment run, so use the down time to your advantage.
