Wii U Buying Guide

Wii Sports is a heavily competed game. Getting 1.0 is one thing, but the true advantage is the Wii U. Loads and lag are reduced compared to original Wii.

32GB is the fastest. 32GB > 8GB > Wii. Japanese is the cheapest. You can buy a Japanese Wii U and make a gaijin Mii. This will change everything, including Wii games. If you prefer Japanese, you won't have to. You can change the game to Wii Mode, but don't. Just get used to the higher speed of the Wii U. Unless you want to change from HD to SD, you won't need the GamePad if the Wii U is used and you are only using it for physical Wii games. Using a Wii U in Wii runs should be as common as PS2s in PS1 games. Go for it!

dude why do you have 7 pages of forum posts but have never ran a game ever

I have actually been speedrunning since 2016. I invented the Beat The Champion category. I used to have videos and runs but have since deleted them because I felt speedrunning had taken over my life.

The lack of a reset button means that all of that 1 second maybe of load saves is evened out with being forced to reset with the home button as opposed to a reset button, it really doesn't matter in this game. Even in categories that do not require resetting, the difference isn't as great as the removal of a full cutscene.
