Avoiding checkpoint in "The Bernoulli Principle"

Hi, I've been trying to put a run together for this game and I'm having trouble with avoiding this checkpoint to skip the intermission more quickly. I'm talking about this one here: http://i.imgur.com/eaTrvEp.png

I've not been able to pass this without triggering it at all. Is there a trick to this, or is it just practice and really accurate timing? Thanks

This is what i got from watching FieryBlizzard run with input:

-be just 1 step from the wall(like in your screenshot, NEVER try to get closer.) -Press space/jump and left at the EXACT same time -KEEP holding left.

After Practice you should be able to get it 99% of the time, once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy.

Another thing to add is that when Viridian is up against the wall, as close as he can possibly get, his sprite will be one pixel away from the wall. Having him directly against the wall will not work. You have to move just one extra pixel, so that his sprite is two or three pixels away from the wall. So, the screenshot you have shown is the closest you can get him to the checkpoint and still have it work. It will take practice, but once you figure out the timing it becomes pretty easy.

Thanks for the help guys, I've been able to get it to work by doing it that way :)

The fastest setup method is to press up against the wall, tap left for one frame, then press left and flip at the same frame.
