Timing is different for each enemy.
Before you perform a dodge though stop holding forward and hold it again very fast. You should see jills run animation change before i dodge on the video.
Right now this fix has some issues so please don't use it for speedruns yet guys
Arrange mode Is just the US version with japanese text so it doesn't have a category.

Hard to say if an SSD would help on console but i've seen very slight time saves using one on PC, mostly in the "loading rooms" like going into the casino etc.
Language doesn't matter but using languages such as japanese or any language with less characters in words makes the dialog skips a lot harder because the skip window is so much smaller.
You will find your saves in the install folder, usually in program files x86 > Capcom > Biohazard 2. You can rename them from there
All files makes me not want to bother with the category but if others want it that's how it will be. Maybe make a thread dedicated to 100% and see opinions.
Not sure about ranking either since for some people getting an S rank could be hard and it seems like an unfair entry bracket to the category for that reason
I think it matters because the cutscene time is added to the IGT, so unequipping would count for less on the cutscene
You could try it out on the gamecube emulator with the autosplitter to be sure since you can see the IGT add the cutscene time to the timer in livesplit
you actually can't cancel auto aim on PC unfortunately :( hell knows why

Picking up items before RPD despawns brad but spawns in zombies outside RPD so brad wouldn't be included.
The game classes Decapping a zombie as killing it so i think that's fine.
Kill All would be possible for sure
And by all doors i guess you mean enter all rooms?
We recently requested a category extentions page for RE2 to allow more categories that don't really "fit in" to the main leaderboard so if anyone has suggestions for new fun categories go ahead and have your say now
Possible Categories so far;
- No Damage
- Shotgun Only
- Pistol Only
- All Mr X Kills
- 100% (needs defining by the community)
- New Game+
- All Main scenarios in 1 sitting (Leon A, Leon B, Claire A, Claire B ) adding up all of the final IGT's would give you your overall time.
- Kill All / Kill All Knife Only
Categories that won't be added;
- Easy mode because it adds nothing new to the run.
- Arrange mode since it's just the US version.
- Ranking categories such as S Rank.
You do realise what Category Extensions is right? Jills diary will be added to it when the request is accepted.
